Lets see what transpires when Hollie sees this. I have a trip to Nuneaton on the cards, and could do it tomorrow if it's our only option. Let's see.

I'm out (again!) tonight but will take my phone with me. Can I send you my number by PM, Mrs R? Then we can do this by text while I'm out?

Will look for you on FB, but I'm rubbish at FB on the phone, prefer old fashioned text.  :shy:

Can possibly help with a transport run/relay?

I'm in London and will be coming up to the West Midlands over the next couple of weeks.

Don't mind nipping down to north Kent to collect her first and I can put her up overnight if necessary in my spare room.

Could Mrs R get to the Coventry/Nuneaton area? Or someone collect her from me there?

[hijack alert] Thanks for the info about petal cleanse. Poor M lives on antihistamines when he is here, and ventolin! Have tried allergy wipes from pets at home (I think it was) without much success [/hijack]

Awwww thanks Liz.

Should say really that because of already owning a MC I know what to expect with them. I currently have 1 MC and 3 cross breeds - all my cat are rescue cats.

I have 2 twin girls ages 4 in a couple of weeks but they have grown up with cats and handle them very well.

Hi thanks done all that in the home, its definately her bless she is such a good girl, breed clubs are now aware but i really need to get this sorted quickly for her, its not fair on her.

That's a shame  I know it's quite far from you but I have heard good things about this pedigree rescue, they don't just rehome persians and might have somebody interested in a Maine Coon or have a space available to take her in. If you do rehome her yourself so make sure to do a homecheck before you let her go.

Please may I but in and ask about 'petal cleanse' ? My son doesn't live at home anymore but he is allergic to Alfie and suffers quite a lot when he visits.

Hollie, I do hope that you  find a solution to your situation soon.

It's a liquid that needs to be wiped over the coat once a week and is apparently quite effective, also worth getting your son to take an antihistamine before he comes over.

Sprry to hear you're having to rehome your cat  Have you had the allergy confirmed as a cat allergy? Reason I ask as, in my own experience, Doctors are often very quick to point the finger at cats without having this confirmed by way of an actual allergy test. It would be heartbreaking to rehome and then discover that your babies allergy was no better  :shy:

If you're certain that the baby is allergic to her, and you've explored stuff like wooden flooring to reduce dander, keeping out of the bedrooms and things like petal cleanse then it's worth contacting the breed rescues to see if anyone is looking for an addition to the family. I would have thought that she was very 'desireable' what with her breed plus being good with kids, dogs, in good health and also being a relative youngster.

A couple I found from a quick google...
