Well done Ron - I think your local fire brigade should have a collection tin for you

I once reported an ex neighbour for not looking after his rabbit and the RSPCA said they could only ask him to make sure he fed it and cleaned out the cage regular as it wasn't starving - no, because I was feeding it in the back garden   BUT the RSPCA guy said I could take it in to my house and then take it to my local RSPCA and pretend I found it and it would be re-homed which I did ;)

They are lovely and I hopethe people over the road have learned a lesson.

Unbelieveable the RSPCA send them to you to look after. Then tell you to give them back. It's a strange world!

I hope he's learned from this, Ron.

At least now he knows he's on the potential cat abuser radar so hopefully he'll get his act together now.  :(

i Had to give the little Kitti's back to the owner with regret. but he only lives over the road from me and told him i will be keeping a eye on them. he says he is taking them to the PDSA for jabs and neutering we will see.

I'd certainly be asking for proof of ownership when they do turn up, Ron, like an adoption certificate or microchip details?

At least give the owners a grilling about how reluctant you are to release these kittens to someone who has left them to die in a bathroom  >:(

Oh, and do make sure they pay a hefty bill for Boarding Kennel Fees for the length of time they are with you, yes  :sneaky: after all, it's not your fault they were left to die and had to be rescued, why should you foot the bill for their rehab ? Maybe they'll be more careful next time.

What gorgeous little things!

I don't understand how this isn't a case of cruelty, surely leaving an animal with no food or drink is breaking the Animal Welfare Act? I despair of the RSPCA sometimes, I really do.

You can't change the world by rescuing one cat, but for that one cat you are changing its world.
