Its nice to see that there is going to be a bidding war at 14.55pm this afternoon

I think Aunty T would be sitting with her fingers ready for the stuff for Paws Inn and she would be so happy that even in this time of recession us lovely slightly mad Cat folks have gone the extra mile for her wonderful babies

Can I just say what a pleasure it's been seeing the sponsorship banners for the delightful sponsors of Purrs Auction?  I've discovered the most wonderful websites and relocated old friends that I'd shamefully forgotten about.  Brilliant stuff!  :)

Yup Purrs bank is always the same :)

I will be popping up info re the end of the Auction tomorrow which will give info on how to pay etc and info for auctioneers when to send items out.

One important point for the Auctioneers is ... It's very important items aren't sent out early before we know that payment for the winning bid has been received.  This is our security for the Auction so if the winning bidder doesn't manage to pay then no goods are sent to them.  If that happens the item will then be offered to the runner up bidder :)

Adult cats can view the details here :shify:

http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,26334.msg461781.html#msg461781

Kittens can PM (private message) a moderator for the info :)

Paying for your items via bank transfer or cheque means there are no fees to pay as paypal charges 3.4% plus 20p for each transaction. In previous years the lovely buyers have often added a chunk to their payment to cover the paypal fees so that all money raised can go to those who need it most - the Paws Inn cats and kittens ;D

PAYING FOR STUFF? I might have missed this already somewhere down there  :scared:

but just thinking ahead...  :shify:

The Purrs Bank Account - I already have a direct payment set up from my bank from last year's auction - but can you confirm if the account details are still the same, please?

I know you can't post the Purrs account number on here, but just so's I know it's the same as last year then I can use the same payment method this time.   :shy:

I seem to remember it took a few days for my money to get through to the Purrs account last year because setting up the Direct Transfer wasn't as quick as I'd hoped, so if changes need to be made I'd rather get on and make them this side of the week-end.  :-[

Thanks  :)

There will be no rolling auction LOL

We have deliberately kept it to one a year cos thats the best way to bring in as much money as possible and not clash with other fund raisers.

Also the work involved behind the scenes is absolutely enormous.

Which reminds me Tan, have you sent the SS back cos its needed  :shify: :shify:

Awww I've posted my last auction lot... feel kinda sad  :(

There's always a certain other Auction site you can flog stuff on -

Wait a minute - we could always extend the Auction after this one? Maybe set up a rolling Purrs auction for stuff folk want to shift but want the value to come to Purrs Registered Rescues through the year.

Tan, TAN??? What do you think? A rolling Purrs auction? Hmmm? E-Purr?

If the first class UK price was £2.70 then that means he must weigh less than 750g sooooo if him plus the box weighed 750g it would be £6.62 to send to Norway. Unlike the UK prices overseas prices reduce as things get lighter eg if he weighed 500g including packaging he would be £4.82

It depends how much he weighs (and whether he has been recently fed  :evillaugh: ) but he would be classed as a small packet as long as the length+width+height of the box didn't exceed 90cm (3 foot in old money) - info taken from here: http://web.anglia.ac.uk/estates/downloads/Airmail_Prices_A4_11.pdf

Dimensions
Please note that the maximum dimensions are smaller than those for our UK services. For letters and packages, the length plus the width plus the height of the item must be no greater than 90cm, with no single dimension greater than 60cm

Hi Hun
As long as its under 60 x 40 cm in size and under 2kg in weight it can go standard airmail so that ok:)

Then it depends on weight up to 100g is 2.70
Etc
Can ya weigh it on kit scales and I will give ya exact cost :)

I've had a request to find out postage to Norway from an international bidder but I won't be able to visit the post office until after the auction closes.... I'm in an all day meeting tomorrow and away for the weekend from early Friday morning. It will be a parcel rather than a letter and although not heavy I couldn't tell from the links Tan posted about international mail whether the size would qualify as a small package. It's the Simon's Cat soft toy, he's 10" tall so I've package him diagonally in a box thats maybe 8-9" sq, it's at work so this is from memory. The first class UK price is £2.70 so should I just add a couple of quid and sort the exact price later or advise them to bid anyway and if the postage is too much it will go to the second highest bidder?
