Advice please - old lady needs to rehome stray

Do you know roughly how old the cat is and what colour/sex it is etc? Just in case it's a missing cat and someone somewhere is looking for him/her.

Can only echo what Janey said about ringing round to try and get him/her on a waiting list. Do you know who does flea treatment for the ladies own cat? Could they be asked to treat the visitor too, at least that way the flea issue can be dealt with if the cat does have to wait a while for a rescue space.

Poor lady, it does sound as though they weren't very sympathetic and helpful.  Is Babbington Nottingham area? if so they need to ring round all the rescues here:

they may say that they are full so you'd need to ask to go on a waiting list but do persevere until they find one who can help.

Hi everyone, need some advice please, my friend's dad does an old ladies hair, she's 94. She has her own cat, but now a stray cat has taken a liking to her. She felt sorry for it and kept feeding it, now it won't go away. Problem is its got clever, poor thing sneaks in when she let's her own cat out. It then hides in her house. It's flea infested her whole house, she's nearly blind and can't cope. My friend's mum rang babbington who said ring cats protection. Cats protection basically made her mum feel like it was her fault and that she should take the cat off the old lady herself which she can't because of their dog and that she wouldn't cope with it either (she has health issues). Her mum ended up in tears and got no where. She wants to know who she could contact to help. Thanks x
