Nothing wrong with living within your means Merv  Whilst times are good it's great that we can be so picky about ingredients and meat % but at the end of the day cats have lived long and happy lives being fed bog standard food so when times are tough being loved and having a full tummy is what matters most

One food I have come across recently (although not tried yet) is Harringtons. The ingredients look good - very high meat percentage (eg 40% compared to 25% James Wellbeloved) and it's very economical. I think the only supermarket that does it at the moment is Asda but there are quite a few independent places that stock it according to their website. A 2kg bag from Asda is just £4.28, compared to £15 for 2kg of JamesWellbeloved!

I've used the wet food, I thought it was quite good ingredients but the kits didnt' agree!  at the end of day Mervyn you have to be able to afford to live so if miss daisy likes it that is all the matters

I was in ASDA today & money is tight as my car is due tax & mot,so looking to cut costs without affecting things,I saw they had Feline Fayre complete chicken on offer for £2.00.Looking at what else was on the shelf I decided to steer away from boxed shop brands (Go Kat ect) & Iams for ethical reasons.
So I got a bag,so far Daisy seems to like it,it's half the price of her usual Purina One for a bigger bag,and the ingredients seem to be of a better quality.I know the ferals in ASSISI like the FF in tuna tins,so do the Purrs clan have an opinion on this brand?...

Thanks,

Merv & Daisy Cat.
