Monty has been on our website for about 5 months. His owner asked me to help him find a new home as he was selling his house and moving into rented accommodation. Monty remained with his owner and we hoped we'd have found a new home for him by now, so that he could have gone straight to a new home from his old home without the need for him to come into rescue. Sadly the house move is just 3 weeks away, and so far, there have been no offers of a home for Monty, so he will have to come into rescue - that rescue place will be with me! Yes, I know, I AM giving up fostering, and when Perdy finds a new home, I wouldnt have taken anymore - however, I am the only fosterer with the Trust, that has a space in the cattery at the moment, so.........
Monty is one of my cat sitting customers, so I know him pretty well - he is 19 years old, has lived all his life in the same house where he has 8 acres of land to roam! This is really sad that he is going to have to probably live out his life in a cattery pen (although I expect, once he's been with me a little while, I'll be able to give him the freedom of the garden) - BUT, there was only one other option and I couldnt see that happen
