Here's a couple of pics of the kittens........finally

Both mums are quite protective and as soon as anyone goes in the room, they start growling now

Never thought to get some of the mum cats whilst taking some of the kittens

I'll try and take some tomorrow. They are the double of Dylan.......absolutely gorgeous

Dawn, that's a very similar story to the one I was told about Sam and Polly by the woman who ran the rescue. Samantha was too young to give birth and had a C section. Polly, a timid feral with years of kittening behind her, helped Sam look after her kittens, feeding and washing them and generally giving Sam the idea, as Samantha didn't initially bond with her kits.

So Pauline, who ran Wellcat, wanted them to go together, which is how I had them, as I wanted two adult cats and didn't mind 'a bit of a challenge'.

I wish I had room and the finance for your mums. Unfortunately, I can only realistically afford two. I hope you find a good home for the mums when they're ready.

Nothing has happened since so I'm convinced now she has had them and disposed of them herself

The other mum and kits are fine.......babies are scrummy

What I thought was a 3rd kitten though, I think it was a toy mouse as I only got a glimpse and I've not see a 3rd since, when I looked, the toy is white so easily done......lol

Both mums get on really well, so I've decided to put them together as the cage is plenty big enough. The kittens have got the best of both worlds as they are going between the two mums, and are thriving really well and both mums seem very content with this arrangement

I've known them in the wild to share their babies and Sean thought it was a good idea to stop the other mum pining. I've decided when the kittens are ready to go, the mums can be rehomed together, possibly at the stables. The one with the babies would have to be away from the scrapyard for at least another 8 weeks, so it's pretty much going to be a disaster to return her. If I get the other one spayed and return her, then that leaves the mum with the kittens on her own, which isn't a bad thing but then she would have to be rehomed on her own or with one of mine.

I haven't named them yet

but will get round to it. I will try and take some piccies later, I've taken some with my phone but they are pretty crap so I'll have to take some more.

Oh thats terrible

but in a way nature has helped her as she wont need to be kept caged whilst rearing kittens.

So what names did you choose for original mum + 3?

There was blood in her cage last night and her tummy does look as if it's gone down so that's the only thing I can think of

Sean did warn this could happen so I was half expecting it really......I'll keep an eye on her and I'm hoping I'm wrong but I don't think I am

I've just had another look as I remember the vet saying there were 3 in her uterus and there is another little one......only got a glimpse but looks mostly white as well

Sadly she has no name so if anyone can think of a nice name for a gorgeous tabby, let me know

No, this is one of 3 that went in and they'd knocked her out and opened her up and discovered she was pregnant. They rang and asked me what I wanted to do

She had her uterus popped back in but Sean did say they may be stillborn so I'm releaved this isn't the case.
