Now, some of you know Theo is my Tottenham bruiser - a rescue cat who managed very well on the streets before being hit by a car in Haringey. We took him in from London Cat Rescue and he settled very quickly with us around four years ago.
Now, he was already neutered when he came here, but very soon after settling in he began humping - blankets, cushions, etc.
He then sustained a nasty leg injury - broke his cruciate ligament and was on Metcam for some time after his Op, this seemed to dampen his ardour and the humping ceased.
More cats arrived, all boys, and Theo became more remote, preferring to spend his days looking for another home (and occasionally finding one!) - good thing he's chipped - and his nights in the kennel outside. The humping was a thing of the past.
Now since our latest arrival settled in, Polly a neutered, 12 year old, petite black girl cat (with balls of steel) Theo has taken to sleeping indoors, feeding regularly with the other cats and, yes, the humping has begun again.
Now, is it coincidence? Or is it l-o-v-e
