Homeopathic remedy for cat that may be grieving

I repeatt , please do not use any products on a cat without consulting your vet, if you have a homopathic vet close even better.

You obviously consider homopathic treatment safe PP but afraid I think its better to be safe than sorry and doseages on the second link are very high and more suited to dogs.

Plaese also see all the info at the bottom of the site and think this should make anyone think before just administering anything.

Also I would worry that the site thinks you can give the same things to cats and dogs and we all know that you cant.

The only issue I have is that info about this subject on the internet is not always right especially if there is commercial gain or the info is put up by someone who believes these things are always better than normal medicine, like humans that believe that homopathic medicine can cure serious diseases in humans like cancer.

I am not having a go at you PP cos I know you are trying to help 

However I just want everyone who is reading this from inside or outside Purrs to check first with their vet as Purrs cannot be held responsible for any adverse effects to their cat.

Gill, I bow to your superior knowledge in this area. Unfortunately not many vets are trained in homeopathy, OP could check the register here

 Or maybe OP could consult a company such as this
http://www.homeopet.com/anxiety.html which provides blended remedies specifically for pets and is run by a trained vet.

Homeopathic remedies are such tiny dilutions that they cannot be dangerous.

How about Bach remedies? I would suggest Gorse and Honeysuckle or you could go for the combination Rescue Remedy. You can buy non alcohol based versions ideal for cats by calling the Bach centre 01491 834 678

I have come across Feliway diffuser or Pet Remedy De-Stress diffiuser - think I have seen on these boards being mentioned.  Do you know anything about them?

I'm a big fan of Feliway diffusers, I have one plugged in permanently as it really relaxes my lovely Lu. With the Feliway plugged in he goes back to the cheeky, confident and relaxed boy I know and love. When it runs out he starts to get all twitchy and nervy again and gets worried over the silliest things 

You can get them from the vets but they are MUCH cheaper online - try animeddirect, petmeds, medicines4pets or VetUK.

2 acres, there's more I didn't want her to feel  , but she was a naughty girl a few years later a ram broke in & i was a laughing stock when i paid the vet for a morning after injection, and then the ram only came back again.  I thought the injection would still be working, but no, another little boy Joseph, he's 6 now.I could start a sheep sanctuary

Bad new's was i ended up with 2 sheep i did'nt want 2 months later she had a son Arnica he's 11 now & she's 18

My goodness I knew arnica cream is wonderful for bruises but saving a sheep...............wow

Your'e right it's always best to check, i have used that one &  other simple ones on my cat & birds.  And amazingly Arnica actually saved a sheep who we thought was going to die.

Not heard of the de=stress one but Feliway mimics cats hormones and is supposed to stop them being stressed about another cat in the house................best to ask your vet if anything can help ie Feliway.

Io think however that is something you would need if you get another kitty and best to have a diffuswser working for at least a week before the new jitty arrives.

I am pretty sure it will not help with grieving but your vet would know
