Did you manage to find a cat? I saw Celia Hammond were advertising 3 FIV cats at their lewisham branch needing homes today.

Have contacted Niall who runs New Hope Animal Rescue in Kent. I know he was overwhelmed with cats recently, not sure of the FIV status though.

You could also try Paws for Life which is a London based rescue that rehomes FIV+ cats

Wonderful you for wanting an FIV cat and agree so sad that rescues operate a PTS policy

Hi, you will find some help at one of the Catchat rescues. Try Anna at London Cat Rescue (this link contains her Catchat page and contact details) or SNIP in Islington or Paws for Life who specialise in FIV+. I know all of these rescues do not euthanise FIV+ unless the cat is very sick in other ways and cannot be saved.

Bless your heart - I have an FIV+ living happily alongside my 6 negs, and he's as happy and healthy as any of 'em.

My Brucey is a very loving playful chappy and I think he would benefit from having someone to claw up the sofa with! He is almost 4 and I think he'd be quite laid back with another cat, but I think for the other cat's sake they should be reasonably playful so they wouldn't be irritated by Bruce running around. Does anyone know of a cat that fits that description that needs a new home in the central/north london area? Any other health problems are not a problem.

Thanks!

On another note I have been ringing around asking if shelters have any available FIV+ cats and I can't not get upset when they calmly inform me they have an euthanasia policy for FIV cats.   :( It's disgusting! Bruce is the most loving cat I've ever owned, and is super healthy once his food allergy is under control.
