Spoke to the vet tonight as I am concerned about all the blood.

He has said to continue with the abs and Meloxidyl over the weekend and to ring and update him on Monday.
The only thing he can do if no better is to try steroids , but you can't use steroids and Meloxidyl at the same time.

If the steroids don't work ,there is nothing else he can do .
Also due to the blood loss she will become anaemic if not careful.
I think deep down its getting near Sophie's time  :'(

Oh dear, it must be distressing seeing her like this :( fingers crossed that she does turn the corner

Is the vet going to be doing further investigation or is it a case of seeing if the medication works first?

I do hope she does get better poor girl

So sorry to hear about Sophie  Sending lots of get well vibes to her and   to you both
January has certainly been crap.  In the last 24 hours I have learned of the deaths of 3 people that I knew very well
But the crocus are flowering in my front garden   Keeping everything crossed for Sophie

Hope this next lot of antibiotics and painkillers etc will do the trick, and that its nothing more sinister than an infection

Had Sophie at the vets 2 weeks ago with blood in urine, but no in and out trays or squatting and when I took her ,her bladder was empty.
She had 2 long lasting injections and earlier this week was a lot better.
Then last night late on , she went in tray , only did a tiny bit and was all blood , got up this morning and loads of spots of blood on kitchen floor .
Been to the vets today and he thinks he can feel something in her bladder and says she is bleeding a lot considering its almost 2 weeks ago she had this and seemed to be nearly better.

she is almost 18 (Remote possibility 19 ) .
She has also lost a little weight in 2 weeks , which she cannot afford to do as she is very lightweight now ( never really been a fat cat though, unlike Winston and Pandora - 2 barrels !! )

She has done a bigger wee on coming home tonight in the tray , but more blood than wee.

She has has. 2 injections tonight , Penicillin and painkiller. She starts Noraclav tomorrow and also Meloxidyl.

Need lots of Purrs healing vibes please.

What a crappy 2012 is already !!
