So very sorry to learn about Teddy but at least he was a much loved family member, I'm sure he will have his wings now and perhaps if you feel a breath of wind against your cheek that will be him making sure you are ok.

Sorry its been so long since I last posted, I have good news and bad.
Bluebell is doing fantastically well after her teeth were removed, has put on weight and is actually playing (which we have never seen her do before).  Josie (her sister) had surgery today and had ALL her teeth removed - we hope her operation will be just as successful.  We are awaiting the swab results for calicia (is that spelt right?).

Sadly our lovely little Teddy is no longer with us.  After Xrays, it was decided to open him up to see what was going on.  Unfortunately he was found to have tumours in his intestines and stomach and it was far too invasive to save him, so we decided to leave him to sleep.   Whilst we have a lot of cats here with us (and a new one just arrived), it still hurts terribly, and we miss our little boy every day.   At least he had a few years happily living with his friends, after the terrible start he had (being found in a wheelie bin half starved as a kitten).  Rest in peace little one, we loved you so much

Healing thoughts please!
« Reply #1 on: January 14, 2012, 16:18:45 PM »
The first of our two cats with severe stomatitis had 11 teeth out this week - she seems much happier already and we are keeping fingers crossed that our wee Bluebell improves and has a much better quality of life.

The not so good news, is that one of our little boys, Teddy, has been losiing weight and interest in life generally.  His blood results have come back and the vet says he thinks he may have dry FIP.   He is eating (a little) but not anywhere near enough for his size.  He is another one of our young cats that came in a few years ago and we are hoping against hope that it is something else, and that the convenia injection he had yesterday will help.

All good thoughts please to our rescue babies - we are not having a good time with them lately, various illnesses and a few oldies PTS, is making me very sad and Im struggling to see positives

Thanks Pauline x
