Can Bengal babes have kitten milk?

we have 3 Bengal kittens and our vet said it was fine for them to have kitten milk. he told us 60% of cats can drink normal milk, but the other 40% can't. we have two other cats one drinks normal milk the other doesn't.

Having just answered your quiery on other thread i am kind of wandering why you have an 8 wks old bengal when registered reputable breeders would never sell or home before 13 wks minimum.

If you feel this little one needs the milk then i'd strongly advise using something like cimicat milk replacement (proper kitten formula milk) which you can get from your vet.

Also being as he is a bengal this would more than likely explain his extra need for your attention and security i'd think but linda would be best person to seek advice from on this.

I do not give any of mine milk in any shape or form however I have not heard of any rule which says you cannot give them some kitten milk.  It really depends on how sensitive your little snows tummy is - mine vary - Lubo is v sensitive whereas Lenny is generally fine.  I would tend to agree with Desley and avoid this.

You will have to show us pics Sue, i like the snow Bengals - I would air on the side of caution and not give it, it isn't necessary, and Bengals are known for their dodgy tums.

A new addition to my brood is a gorgeous Bengal snow leapord kitten. Have heard that not even kitten milk should be given. Does anyone or has anyone given milk to this breed? Thanks
