Yesterday was Amber's forever home aniversary....
In 1999 she walked into the tower block where I live and I had a knock on the door. I got told you have a cat dont you well this one is small and cute and needs a home......needless to say she didnt leave.
I looked for notices, I ignored the hospital consultant who told me to get rid of both cats because I was ill and didnt need the hassle, I coped with Ambers inability to notice danger.....ever tried explaining to a cat that if your 4 floors up you cant chase pigeons?
All I will say is having cats stopped me going 'totally' crazy and even better stopped me moving in with my parents to be looked after. If I hadnt had furries I wouldnt have got out of bed and quite possibly wouldnt be alive today which is a big responsibilty for any person/animal/thing etc.....Amber of course doesnt realise that and to this day thinks Im her slave and servant and will always be around to do whatever she wants....and shes right
So I wished her happy anni and gave her treats last night and in thanks she woke me at 3am just for a cuddle
