Good luck.  :get well 3:

I'm worried about the gap down the side of my shed, now. I think I'll do something to block it off having seen this.

He doesn't really have a regular vet as he is never ill - only ever needs boosters.  My sister is so impressed by the emergency vet that she is going to make her the regular vet - I was impressed as well as she was good.

He is stronger today but is still like he is drunk and cannot walk straight.  I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is going to be as good as it gets for him - he was trapped for a long time and during that time was unable to move and would have had a lot of blood go to the head.  The only hope is that it will improve over time and any swelling of the brain will decrease making his movement better.  He has had all the symptoms of head trauma and that apparently can take some time to right itself.

He has another check up on Monday so maybe if he is not moving better by then they will scan him.

More vibes for the little guy. Poor thing, sound like he may have suffered a stroke or some nerve damage. Did his regular vet see him yet?

Thanks guys, he's home tonight and is happier for it.  Can't walk properly at all but the vet seems to think being back home will help him recover quicker.  He can support his weight on his leg but when he comes to moving he is so very uncoordinated and weaves around before falling over.   :( Hopefully it will be a temporary thing and he will recover.  He is toileting okay and is currently being hand-fed Dreamies so he is fine in that sense, just very concerned about his movement.

My sister's cat had an accident yesterday and got himself trapped between the shed and a fence and was stuck for several hours in the rain.  It was only pure luck that he was found. He was freezing cold and unable to walk and held his head on one side - he has a lot of symptoms of head trauma (his head was a lot lower than his body when trapped and will have had a lot of excess blood to the brain) which hopefully will not cause any lasting damage but it's too early to tell.

We whisked him to the only emergency vet we could find last night (fortunately we have one within 15 minutes who has a nurse permanently on site) and he is currently there being looked after.  He was responding to light and responding to the tests she carried out (albeit very delayed on one side) but couldn't walk properly.   They've got his temperature up a little bit and got antibiotics and steroids into him but he still isn't walking and is quite poorly.

Just needing some famous Purrs vibes for him :)
