This attitude sucks:

Quote
These incidents cause a lot of unnecessary distress to the animals and their owners, but over and above that there are concerns with air weapons being discharged in residential areas and the associated risks to the public.

Since when has an agonising death (for the cat) and emotional suffering and pain (for the owner) been "unnecessary distress?"

And it's being investigated not because some evil scum gets his kicks from killing animals but because there's a risk to the public. Yeah, god forbid something happens to a human!

Makes me so  >:(

Exactly what I was going to put too but was on my ipod so couldn't do quotes from BBC (well, not easily!)

You can't change the world by rescuing one cat, but for that one cat you are changing its world.

:'( This is just so sad they need to get the  :censored: :censored: responsible for this and give them a taste of their own medicine what I don't understand is why the media put this on the news or in papers just to upset animal lovers when we all know very well that there will be no punishment or change in the laws to stop this from going on all they are doing is giving these Bas***ds limelight so they can sit there feeling proud of themselves that they made it on the news and have a laugh about it with their mates  >:( >:( >:( >:( Absolutly appalling :(

Brilliant post Denise and I for one couldnt agree with you more

Ditto, but I hope and pray that the exposure will actually lead to changes sooner than later!!
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.
