LOL! This thread is brilliant, I thought it was just me that did this!!

My kitty's "proper" name is actually Mymy, but she mostly gets called Maz or Mazzy. She also answers to Miserly, Maz-cat, Mascara, Maserati, Maow, Kitten, Baby and umm Turnip.

Always amazes me how often they don't even resemble their real names!!!

We have:
Nina = Neen Neen Pauline
Nell = Nellbert, Bert
Ned = Neddy Pikey, Nedlet Pikelet
Marley = Marley Bucket, Marly marl, Marly Moo
Twilight = Twi'ster, Twiglet
Leon = Arozina Shadow, Lee Lee, Dee Dee
Forest = Fozzy Bear, Farty Bum, Tozzy Bar
Squirrel = Squidge, Squirrel nutkin, Circular (saw) (he sounds like on when he meows!)
Skunk = Skunky Monkey, Skunkus Monkus
Gladys = Glad Rags, Gladders, Lab Rat, The Great Gladsby

Don;t even get me started on the dogs, rabbits and ferrets!!!

We had the most gorgeous boy who was a red and white tabby, or should that be a white and red tabby...? He had a (very) large white tummy, which he loved to show to everyone! He was called Pharaoh because when we got him at a year old he was rather Sphynx-like with enormous ears and a very regal air. Having a loving home with (probably too much) regular food he soon got an enormous tummy, grew into his ears and lost the regal air for a very mischievous one and learned how to open all the cupboards AND the fridge!!! This earned him lots of nick names...!!!

However the one that sticks in my memory comes from the fact that he was also allergic to dried flowers (funnily enough like me) and used to sneeze and snuffle whenever he was near grass etc. He had medication for hayfever to try and help but long story short the sort of "fff" "fff... fff..." "fff... fff... fff..." noise he used to make in the summer earned him the nickname of "fff fff fff fff fffarekins!!"

Ooooh how much did I love him!!

When my now 25 year old daughter was under a year old we had a cat called 'Pullover' his full name was ..................Pullover Piotrowski Esquire which I use to use in full just to embarrass the vet

His nick names were : pully wooly , pully wooly pull-ups and pully pooos

Now 'The boys' get called:

Treacle gets called: treacle pudding , treacle-weacle, fluffy bum,

widdly woo and tiddly tigger.

Toffee gets called: toffee sauce, Mr scoff-a-lot, tiger paddy paws and strippy lanky legs 3rd.

mmmmmmmm, you should here what I call my son !!!!!!

Amber - bim (she sort of bimbles when she walks) - actually everyone calls her bim only the vet calls her Amber
Oscar - skeena (not sure really!)
Tilly - when she was a kitten and all teeth and claws was called tiny tilly terror tot, she is all grown up now and just called tot

Jaffa and Mosi get called all sorts of silly names and variations on their names. They do change over time.

Jaffa - Jaffy, Jaffy Waffy, Jif, Jaf, lamb, poppet, gingerbread man, cuddles, stripey paws, stripes, tiger, sausage, mr man
Mosi - Mosi wosi, Fluffy, manic mosi, nosy mosi, lamb/lambkins, fluffpot, little lemur (cos I he looks like one), little lion (cos he thinks he looks like one), His Mosiness, munchkin, mr fluffly paws, squirrel nutkin, bonkers boy

Come to think of it, it's amazing they know their proper names! (which incidentally are Jaffa Cake Stripey Paws and Mosi Hobgoblin)

Mary doesn't get called by her name very much and she is now answering to Missymoo, her other names are : Princess, baby girl, Mary doll, and OH calls her daddy's girl and Mary poppins.
Buddy's names are: big boy, greedy boy, birdy boy, sexy boy, bud bud and buddy boy.

lady that doesn't call any of my pets by their chossen names, Every pet I have owned has had to put up with the most ridiculous nicknames for Eg: I used to have a cat called Linus that often went by the name's : loin cloth

, liney bum bum , or would often walk into a room and be serenaded to a song that the whole family would sing to him : Liney- liney line your bum bum

My beloved dog Butch (staffordshire bull terrier) that sadly passed away last year went by the names : buddy, Huggy warren, frodo dhengi , huggy romps, b' dingy

Fudge my Oriental , Funny pudge , Fudge a sniff , Mr yicklestein.

Ariel (Bengal): Miette a meu, Tu Tu , tutappel, missy meu.

As you can see I'm not lying when I say I'm a bit crazy
