Lol i talk to my lot more than i talk to any one else, ask them how there day has been, what flavour food they want, opinions on clothes lol.
Had moment with them like that last night, we were on couch watching that documentry about madagascar and we were all curled up on couch, dog each side, cat round neck, was lovely.

Riley used the tray for a number two the other day, I duly scooped and removed his offerings and seconds later he was back in there doing a wee! I will admit to saying to him 'You're taking the bloody piss now' before I realised how stupid that was on more than one level  :evillaugh:

Course I do! "Who's Mummys boy, then?" manages to escape when talking to Darwin which is pretty embarrassing for me and if he could understand it, mortifying to the little rapscallion. ;)

The girls get "Hello Pretty! I do love you!" quite a lot....as you said, they more than likely hear something entirely different. :evillaugh:

What I say to Drum: "Drum! Hello gorgeous girl, who's my gorgeous Drum?"

What Drum hears:
"Drum! blah, blah, blah, blah, blah Drum!"

 :)

I often have those moments!  Had a bit of a one with Mosi this morning when I went into the bathroom and he was sitting on the toilet seat!  I gave him a cuddle and asked him if he wouldn't mind moving?  He said he didn't want to move so I said it was ok I would come back later but I just stayed there giving him a cuddle and telling him what a perfect good boy he is (he isn't - he's a very naughty boy!) and had a bit of a "moment"!

As to the 2nd part - well Jaffa is rather hard of hearing now so I know he can't hear me when I talk to him but I still do it!  Of course when he could hear he hung on my every word ;)

Well two moments really, it happened last night.

The first was that Archie was chasing Ella and I could tell it was a bit much so I intervened. They both jumped on the windowsills and Ella was looking out the window and I was talking away to her, mainly about where we live now, if she likes it, does she remember the old place,  does she think Effie would have liked it here etc I looked at Ella (and Archie on the other windowsill) and thought I  :Luv2: you both so much and would do anything for you. I know I think that all the time but it was a lovely moment. Ella was purring and Archie was looking at me like he was planning his next attack...but it seemed special.

Then I realised that neither of them actually had a clue what I was saying. Yes they understand certain words but I talk to them like they are my best friends and they have no idea. Not an iota, nilch, nada. And actually then felt very silly! That was the second moment!
