:( Poor Dillen, any more news?

I do hope that she's ok.  I wonder whether it's related to her blood sugars/the heat?

Poor little thing, she's been through so much and I really thought things were getting better for her.

 :(
You can't change the world by rescuing one cat, but for that one cat you are changing its world.

Dillen collapsed this morning and is currently at the vets being stabilised. Andrea will let me know more later, but please send vibes for this little girl - she's such a fighter.

They will yes. We need £5 a month more donation and then the costs are covered I think - will check later. :)

I think most vet sites provide caninsulin if you have a prescription.

I think the sponsor costs will cover food etc. as well as insulin.

Btw where can you get insulin online?  You have to get a prescription as well don't you?  I'm currently buying from vets.

A lot cheaper than most vets? I think I only paid £13 for a bottle of caninsulin from our vets,

:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

I had to ring our vets for a client last week and a 10ml bottle was £31 !

A lot cheaper than most vets? I think I only paid £13 for a bottle of caninsulin from our vets, which isn't too bad and it has to be stored pretty specifically.....

Will look into it though. :)

Can I just say that if the insulin is bought online it is A LOT cheaper (depending on your vet prices it could be as much as half price)
Best Pet Pharmacy seem to stock Calansulin

With Tans permission I'm trying to organise people who will regularly contribute in a sponsor capacity so that Dillen can remain with Andrea long term. She's happy there and not at all aggressive and Andrea's agreed that if I can manage to sort this she's more than happy to care for Dillen.

I've already managed to get three sponsor offers and that comes to £40 a month. I'm waiting for the amount Andrea thinks will be needed.

If anyone is interested in sponsoring this little girl, feel free to post on here or message me.

Went to visit the adorable Dillen today with Andrea at RACR. This little girl is truly lovely.  :Luv: I took a box full of presents up from me and various other people on CatChat and Purrs and she loved the catnip toys I offered her. Not so sure about the bed yet though...she seems to prefer the kitchen worktop oddly!

Anyway, as is typical with these situations I ensured I had a camera but didn't think to check the battery....which allowed one photo and then collapsed. Thankfully someone else snapped a picture of Dillen with the catnip mouse I bought her.

Dillen was recently diagnosed as diabetic and they're trying to control the illness with diet and then move to insulin if necessary. Due to her past and the fact she seems settled with Andrea, I'm hoping to try and find a sponsor for Dillen so she can stay in environment she feels safe.....she deserves it after such a rough start.

It's thought they got her age wrong at the Blackpool vets. Andreas vet thinks she's nearer the 5 years mark, which is still a little young for  the condition definitely.

LOvely little girl  ;D

Isnt it a bit unusual for cat to be diabetic so young?
