I do wonder how anyone does it to be honest, I only get to hear bad stuff on here and find that awful enough, witness the ignorance and cruelty first hand must totally wear you down

Thank you everyone for your good wishes and support.

Still feeling raw after Trooper but my decision has not changed.

I will continue to stay on Purrs, it is my true cat family, though maybe lurking more than posting and obviously continue to care for all the babies here, though that is where they will stay for the time being, unless the RSPCA decide otherwise, which wouldn't surprise me >:( .

Very sad for Lesley, and as I've said before we will be eternally grateful for our much loved and completely spoilt pair of loons.

Hope you can come with Mike when he comes to look at our bungalow, then you can see the cats.

Very sad but so completely understandable.

Never ceases to amaze me how Lesley and others like her can cope as long as they do.  It's such a very heavy burden to carry; both financially but especially emotionally.

Sending every best wish Lesley

Very sorry to hear this news Lesley but completely support your decision. You have given so much over the years but now you have to look after yourself. Lots of cats and kittens will be eternally grateful to you and never forget that. Sending you lots of love and hugs and as others have said I hope you will stay on Purrs, you knowledge and experience will be invaluable and we would all miss you so much. Take care xxx

A very happy (was sad) day for Purrs
It's with great sorrow that our Leslie, Eight lives left cat & Kitten rescue is closing her rescue. My love and thoughts will always be with her and i know you all with me will wish her the all our love and hugs now and in the future.
I have had the greatest pleasure meeting our les myself and i have her to thank her so much for saving my boy Marley whom i adopted from Leslie's rescue.  She cares so much, has a wonderful big heart, always putting the amimals 1st before anything else and i am so proud to know her.

Thank you so much Les for all you have done for the cats and dogs in your and Mike's loving care. For all the cats you have saved from pain and suffering, gave them the love and found the new loving homes they so deserve.  You are and always will be their and a hero to us all.

We will always be here for you and if in the future you find yourself back taking in needy babes, we will always welcome you with open arms as a rescue member at any time.

Sending our very best and lots of hugs to you and all your family.
