What little cuties  :Luv2: I find it hard to believe they haven't been reserved but I guess that goes to show how bad things are for rescues at the moment  :shy:

:omg: How can I have missed this thread until its all over?  In retrospect its probably just as well because I spent forever glued to the Treacle webcam last year and couldn't get anything else done. :evillaugh:

Gorgeous kitties and I hope they find their forever homes soon (and Hazel of course).

kittens moved for some heavy socialising. No homes yet and 8 weeks on Wednesday. We have so many kittens in at the moment and things are busy!

Anyway, photo opportunity....

I'm sorry Angie, but I think the kittens I am looking at now are imposters, they are too big and mobile to be the kittens I saw a couple of days ago  ;) ;D

They've just been introduced to the vacuum cleaner for the first time - I've been cleaning out on my hands and knees in there until this morning.

What about the delicous Hazel, hope she is okay. I have missed watching them with the webcam being offline. It is lovely to see them getting less wobbly and more playful. I must confess I also love seeing them develop their cat ears  :) :Luv:

Kittens are now 4 weeks old.

Monkey and Pecan, the two 'tortie' girls.

Brazil, the buxom tabby and white girl (I assumed boy without checking as she's so chunky but vet said she)

and Cash (white/tabby) and Mack (white/black) boys - Mack is the one with the poorly eye, he's now been on synulox drops for 5 days. He hates it passionately and slobs and drools for ages after - I doubt much is actually going down.

Wish I thought of that when I had my radgoll litter.

Absolutely lovely.   :Luv:

names have been decided and approved courtesy of BBC Cov and Warwick Radio, where Vic Minett decided to twin the 5 kittens with 5 baby monkeys in Colechester Zoo.

We have monkey (officially twinned with Tom, a golden lion tamarin at colchester zoo - have the certificate!).
http://www.colchester-zoo.co.uk/index.cfm?fa=news.detail&id=674&section=6

Because of the colouring, it was decided that Monkey would be the more tortie of the litter.

Pecan is the next Tortie.

The other three are Brazil, Macka and Cash, though as I haven't sexed them yet, I have not assigned names to individual kittens yet.

I like the new position of the webcam as I get to see more of the lovely Hazel now  ;D

Don't forget to give us a wave when you go in to feed them  :)

Which one was the escapee? do you know the sexes yet? do you have names for them yet?

Babes are now 18 days old. All eyes are open and they will be starting to wander around soon.

One of them was out of the bed this morning so it prompted me to have a reshuffle and remove the bed, reinstate the shelf for mum and get the camera in place so that it is not a close up of babies but will show them when they start to mooch around.

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/coventry-cat-group---treacle-kitten-cam

I'll just have to make sure I get fully made up before I go in to feed (well at least fully dressed!  :-[) when the cam is on.

Just getting a quick kitten fix  :Luv:

The babies are so wriggly! Hazel seems to be doing a good job of looking comatose despite all the babies suckling on her!  :Luv2:

took hazel and co to the vet as she has still been breathing quite rapidly. No temp, seems bright. They detected a slight heart murmur but said it could be stress - she was well hyperventilating by then. They had a feel , and decided to do a scan but it revealed nothing (unless she wouldn't stay still!). So she has come back with a shaved belly (which will keep her cooler and maybe help  the kittens). I have opened the windows in the room again to get some more air in for her.

Sorry guys, the little blue light on the webcam has gone out.  :'(

Have plugged and unplugged everything and still no joy! I bought it to record Treacle's progress last year so guess it may have realised its 1-year warranty has run out....

will have a poke and fiddle later today...

So hard to tell without actually being there seeing her and how big she was pregnant and how big the kittens are now.  She was so fat she had a job to see to the first born kitten!
