I don't think bacon provides a very balanced food for a cat, you really should be more careful in future!
........and add a little bit of fried egg and sausage to go with it. :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Orbit used to love a bit of bacon, especially my butchers home cured smoked bacon,Daisy on the other hand prefers to lick the bacon fat off the plate...

The only way it may not be good is that it has a lot of salt in it, especially if its smoked.

I once found my eldest daughter eating raw bacon hiding behind fridge door as a toddler - it didnt do her any harm so sure kitty is fine- the only thing with bacon that would worry me is if they chocked on the rind but sure licking the packet wouldnt cause any ill effect.

:thanks: Snarf, the bacon was bought yesterday so should be fresh. He didn't get to eat any bacon, only the bacon juice so sounds like he'll be fine then  :)

I threw an empty bacon packet in the bin tonight, only it must have slipped down the side of the bin and not gone in properly as I heard a noise in the kitchen and found Riley licking it

I know cats scavenge and raid dustbins etc but that doesn't mean they don't get ill from it so was wondering if he is likely to be poorly from his bacon packet licking?
