fucithalmic's good stuff. Swamp has it almost daily and it really helps - he has herpes and sometimes conjunctivitis (mostly just runny eye and some pus..has had for years).
hope it works.
the tears naturale is just saline and very safe but will just lubricate; it won't remove any infection.
If your cat's problem is persistent and possibly viral and there are no underlying health problems, you may want to chat about Virbagen with your vet. Hope you are insured if you go that way though as it is expensive. It's interferon.  I don't think you should use it for as long as the opthalmologist had me do with Swampy though (years); I think it may have contributed to liver probs but have no proof.

Ive been to the vets this morning ihad an appointment for makosi and i took bailey the same time
the vet has given him some eye ointment  fucithalmic eye he has to have it twice a day in both eyes .

If he's always had it, it could be allergic conjunctivitis. We have taken Willow to 4 different vets and they all say the same thing. they can prescribe streroid drops to ease it but they hate it and it doesn't cure it. The vets just said to wipe her eyes with optrex using a fresh pad for each eye to avoid cross contamination. As long as the fluid is clear (reddish) its OK but to take her in if it looks cloudy. As others have said, a vet check is 1st priority - you seem to have a lot of vet trips Lisa - you need a season ticket

Try Tears Naturale drops (one drop in his eye) or if that isn't any good, sounds like a vet trip for antibiotic ointment

I personally would advise never to treat an eye problem without a vets consultation. So much can go wrong.

He may have a touch of conjuctivitus ... probably best have a visit to Mr Vet.

Yea it could be as he did have it a lot when he was little ,
if its not improved by tommorow or if its still the same i will take him to the vet and get something for it

Bailey has always suffered from a sticky eye since a kitten and has had eye cream/drops in the past for it , he woke up today and it was really sticky ive been bathing it for him with warm water
it looks nearly normal now ,
God i feel like a bloody nurse bathing eyes giving tablets  all the joys of being a fur babe mum though i guess
