Thank you all for your kind words. I look at those pics I've posted of Lily and something in me still can't quite believe that she's gone
Sometimes I have a very strong feeling that she is around me and I do believe that one day we will be reunited.

What a beautiful tribute and I'm so sorry that the pain is still so raw. I think releasing the lanterns is a wonderful idea.

It's one year since I lost my darling Lily and the pain is still sometimes as bad as when I first lost her.
There are still so many things that remind me she's no longer here but the worst time is still at night when I go to bed and she's not there wrapped round my head. I went to town today and bought some Chinese sky lanterns which I'm going to let off tomorrow night (weather permitting) to let her know that she is still very much in my heart and thoughts.

I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too.
I think of you in silence. I often speak your name.
Now all I have is memories, and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake, with which I’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
I have you in my heart.
