No pics yet - they are a bit stressed! hissing at each other (oh dear, I think they blame each other for the situation they are in!) and Millie is hissing at me! - weird, she will give my hand a sort of friendly head butt - and then hiss lol!  I've noticed they've both lost fur down the inside of their back legs (Mollie in particular) - stress grooming/overgrooming maybe? Mollie is black and Millie is b&w.

Thanks  :)

took Jazz to her new home yesterday - I expected her to be quite scared and prob run and hide behind or under something - but no, she hopped out of the carrier and wandered over to the stairs where she just sat on the bottom step, washing herself and looking around at her new surroundings  :-: Think she'll be ok  :Luv:

So one out - two in! Millie and Mollie arrived this afternoon - sadly they were adopted from us 3 yrs ago as kittens, their owner moved in with her partner who already had two cats (Bengals) and unfortunately world war 3 broke out!  :scared: So Millie and Mollie have come back (they were with another of our fosterers before, but that fosterer has since given up fostering).

Well, its been a long time coming, but Jazz has finally got a home and she will be leaving me tomorrow. Lovely gentleman whose cat had recently passed away. He came to look at both Sooty and Jazz. Sooty was very confident and kept head butting him and I thought it was going to be Sooty he chose. Jazz was as timid as usual (with strangers - she's fine with me now) and I thought she'd blown it! But he went away to think about it, and decided on Jazz!

So now its just Sooty out of these 3 left - they've both been with me since Feb  :(

Sooty is an imposter! I was imagining an all black cat, he's gorgeous nonetheless though  :Luv2:

I know - when the owner brought the 3 of them it confused me! Saffie was easy - tabby and white  ;D and then there was Sooty and Jasper - even more confusing, as Sooty is black & white, while Jasper is all black - not only that, Jasper is a girl  (so I renamed her Jazz). When we put them into the pen, I kept asking, so Sooty IS the black & white?, and Jasper IS the black?, and Jasper IS a girl?

Oh bit too far away from me. Since contacting you, Ive asked about a cat hopefully if a house check can be arranged and all goes well, I will be able to home the kitten.
That cat on the front page is gorgeous by the way. I hope you find lovely homes for these cats :)

Thanks  :thanks:

I split Jazz and Sooty up this morning and already they are both much more relaxed, Jazz because she hasnt got Sooty biffing her every time she moved around, and Sooty because he doesnt need to keep up the effort of being bossy anymore  ;)

Thanks everyone  :thanks:

Some news - Saffie went to her new home this evening! We had someone interested in homing a tabby (this was before I'd managed to get her picture on the Trust's website) so he came to meet her just over a week ago, but they were also interested in a couple of other cats with other fosterers. Then today they phoned and said they would like to take her and could they come this evening! I'd already done a homecheck, and they'd already got the Feliway plugged in, in anticipation... ;) - So off she went!  :)

Now I can split Jazz and Sooty up so they can blossom in their own space  :) hopefully.

What lovely cats  :Luv:  I hope they can find suitable homes soon.  Shame when they have to be only cat as so many potential homes already have a feline occupant!

I like the name Saffie.  If I ever have a female cat I am going to call her Safina (means beautiful one in Swahili or something) shortened to Saffie for everyday usage  ;D

Exactly what I thought.  They look very well fed.  Really beautiful  :Luv: :Luv:

Poor babies.   My nightmare is sending a cat back.  :'(  Are all three for adoption together?

Not sure what you mean about sending a cat back? Anyway, they will all go seperately, even though they came from the same home, they are not in the least bit bonded. Saffie and Sooty would probably both need to be only cats, Jazz, I'm not sure about whether she'd like to be an only or not, difficult to tell with her at the mo.

What beautiful girls  :Luv2: Could you ask Saffie where she gets here eyeliner from please  :evillaugh:

She has got gorgeous eyes hasnt she?

New pics of foster cat Sooty - Gone to new home!
« Reply #1 on: February 28, 2011, 00:56:13 AM »
Saffie, Jazz and Sooty all came in together from the same home. We were told they had been messing in the house, so for the past year they'd been shut out  >:( the garage was their only shelter. Saffie and Sooty are brother and sister and around 7 yrs old, and Jazz (Saffie's daughter) is around 6 yrs old.

They've been with me about 3 weeks now, all very scared when they first arrived and it was clear that they didnt really get on, so luckily I could split them up as noisy George had to come indoors which left a space. So Saffie has got a pen to herself now and is much happier  :) Could really do with splitting Jazz and Sooty up too as Sooty is a bit domineering, but no can do at the mo.

Anyway, since they've been with me they have all used the litter trays perfectly, not one accident. Bit of probing and I discovered that the owners had moved house, they already had a toddler, and then a new baby - sounds like it was all too much for the poor cats  :(

This is Saffie  :) (no pics of Sooty yet, well none that arent blurred lol!) Saffie is more confident now.

and this is Jazz (the owners had called her Jasper  ) as you can see she's still quite scared, but happy for me to stroke her now.
