Think you were asking for it Merv. I mean right fair, you put it in a bowl and the lovely smell - how could Daisy not know it wasn't for her?  :evillaugh:

I made a fish pie today...The cooked fish was sitting out in a bowl cooling after I'd steamed it.When I went to make the pie,I realised that the portion of fish was ready flaked,by Daisy, who'd ate most of it.. :evillaugh:

Beavis would nick food straight out of the pan given the chance as a kitten - and even now he sits on the arm of the chair , inching ever closer to the lap tray in the hope that we won't notice and he can steal off the plate! :evillaugh:

Oh yes, my Elsa used to do that - even in old age  ;) she also used to lurk beside my chair so she could carefully slip a paw round to grab anything off my plate  :evillaugh:

Mine obviously havent realised that I used marg and not butter anymore, coz they still try to clean the toast off  well - they can't believe its not butter lol  :evillaugh:

Mackerel salad for lunch today.   Yummy!

Some of us got to eat it ...... :tired:

The phone rang - I abandoned my meal to answer the phone (just in case .... )

While realising the call was one of those wretched "Congratulation you have won a  time share cottage in Outer Mongolia send £500 to learn more"  type calls I heard OH say "OOOH!!!  No!"

Something black and hairy shot under the sofa  .....

With most of my fish in his jaws .....

Oh well  - tomato and salad makes quite a good meal ;)

Don't know if my 17 year old cat is just getting mischievous or going through second kittenhood.  Was eating some toast and reading a knitting pattern to work out what to do next when I felt the piece of toast being tugged out of my hand.  When I told her no and pulled it away from her she objected vocally and then took a swipe at me.  Hence I have to add I stopped reading the pattern removed the bit of toast she had had in her mouth and ate the rest and never gave her any and all the time she was still trying to get the toast again.

Ah! Another cat that's fond of butter! The other day I was making a sandwich and a blob of mayonnaise had fallen on the ground. Before I could reach for a towel to wipe it up, little Missy was right on it LICK LICK LICK! And once, a jar of Crisco had been left in her reach... and when it was next used there was a definate CLAW mark in it where she had had a feast! No wonder her last Vet's report had a large "X" in the box next to "Overweight"  :innocent: (I try and try to put her on a diet but she will have none of it)

And Wibbles... that Olwyn is definately a spirited animal! You certainly do have your hands full with her around! (And lucky Celyn provides some balance!  :evillaugh: )

Those are all so funny :)

Napkin’s "Daddy" already knows this story but it’s an opportunity to share it with everyone else

In the last few days, I mislaid a small bottle of smelling salts that I keep by my bed.  I use them when I get a blocked nose, or migraine headache.

I could find the lid – but NO BOTTLE!

It was fairly new – you’d think I’d have been able to smell it out but no!  Not a sign of it!

I even admit to sniffing the cat’s paws, to see if I could detect who was the culprit

I hunted all over the bedroom.  No bottle!

I always reckon the flat can’t actually lose anything permanently, and that the item will return when it’s ready to do so.

Last night, funnily enough just after talking to Napkin’s Dad on the Internet, I headed into the bedroom to find ..... Olwyn playing with the bottle.  She was kicking it happily about.  When I went and stopped her, she sniffed the bottle.  Then Celyn, hearing her squeaks, came to see what was happening.  He’s very good at rescuing her  from any troubles, Bless him.

He sniffed Olwyn, then the bottle.  Aren’t kitty-sneezes cute ?

Having spent a few days minus its cap (wherever Miss had hidden it) it wasn’t too pungent, but we ALL ended up with tears running down our faces.  Them from the smelling salts – me from laughter!

Silly, silly cats!

I can remember once plating up Sunday dinner gave my human children their dinners and the phone rang, whilst I am on the phone I could here my children sniggering, when I finished on the phone walked into the kitchen to find that a cat had eaten the pork loin off my plate and was proceeding to eat the vegetables on the plate as well.  As I had done yorkshire puds there was one dog my old dog at the time laid there guarding the yorkshires and two younger ones not daring to go near.  The dog got the yorkshires to guard due to Toesy who was eating my sunday lunch.  Monday phoned the vets to see if the vegetables would do him any harm and got told as long as he was still fed his food and it was not replaced by the vegetables then it would be fine.

Mum keeps Casper's food at the top of the cellar stairs and you have to be very careful when you go down there not to let him in. He snuck in once when my mum had the door open for something and she didn't realise, when she found him 1/2 hr later he had removed all the pouches from the box, chewed all of them to check the flavours and then knawed the top of the one he fancied and was halfway through polishing it off!!

My Chilli is the human food thief. I once left my plate with a nice piece of salmon on to one side when I got up to answer the phone. As I picked up the phone and turned round, I spotted half my salmon making a quick exit into the hallway! I told my mum never to call at dinner time after that.

My late cat Kocka would not eat lumps in her older age but she loved human food and one night I had lamb chops and had cut the fat off from round the edge and had two large pieces left on the plate.

Put the plate on the floor and when I nexted looked,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,no fat left and as she had no teeth it must have been twoo very large and long swallows!!

I did not see or hear a thing

I like a good curry, well one Friday I'd got a takeaway Indian,my usual Lamb Tikka Chili Masala, & I got up to do something & when I sat down again,Orbit had nabbed some lamb of the plate & gnawed at it.Now he also must've got some chili too as he was looking a little 'flustered'..
He sat there washing his face & went off for a long cold drink of water from the bath tap..
Needless to say, next time he went poo,he stank the place out!

A WHOLE pork chop? Oh, my goodness!

I had forgotten about another kitty we had ages ago... we had ordered pizza and a 6-pack of Cokes. The 6-packs at that time came attatched together with a plastic ring thingmajig like this:

Well, we had all pulled a Coke off the pack and were sitting there eating our lunch when THUMP! We see the remaining cans fall off the table. My aunt's cat, Willow, had his teeth hooked in one of the empty rings and was determinedly dragging his "prize" of 3 cans of Coke down the hallway!

Obviously it was Napkin's chicken, otherwise why was it at her height?  :innocent:

Noah stole: bacon bits from pesto pasta, a cooked pork chop from tomato sauce, frozen rabbit chunks (his own supper  ) and once stuck his head and shoulders in my work bag ... I'd forgotten claiming the remains of a pre-cooked chicken. :evillaugh:
:'( My beautiful Noah rescued 13/02/09, adopted 11/10/09, taken 11/02/11 :'( You deserved so much more.

Little Miss "Cake" cat Chloe wasn't averse to pinching a piece of ham off a plate if she could do so without being caught!

Mr T ?

I don't think we will forget the occassion he helped himself over night to an ENTIRE packet of green catnip treats.

It gave Kieron (my OH) quite a shock to discover poo the colour of this emoticon in the litter tray

Poor man!  Not something you expect first thing in the morning!  :evillaugh:

Poor Napkin!   Not so much the Naughty Corner as the "Naughty Step" then?

So far we have had "perforated" fishcakes - Someone pulled a defrosting pack onto the floor and left toothmarks in the wrapping.

I suspect the same someone (Olwyn - LOL) was also not too taken with the frozen lump of stewing steak she insisted on pinching

BOTH cats managed to be involved with that one!

And as you know, Celyn was responsible for "stealing" a cat nip toy that was meant to be posted on!

Cats!  Who'd have 'em!  :Luv2:

This is a photo of the back entrance to the house... I am posting this because it is important to the story.

As you can see, you come in the door, go up 3 steps into the kitchen, or go straight ahead and descend to the basement. Normally, when we go grocery shopping we will park the car in the driveway just at the door, "stage" the bags on the kitchen floor just inside the kitchen door, then unpack them once the car is in the garage.

I'm downstairs on the computer as groceries are being unpacked, and all of a sudden I hear "NAPKIN!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING???" I run up the stairs to find that apparently some fried chicken had been purchased at the supermarket deli, and Little Miss had taken it upon herself to drag the bag of chicken out of the grocery bag and attempt to shred it open!  :sneaky: I suppose she was confused why she was being yelled at, when we had just been SO NICE and brought HER some delicious fried chicken to eat...  :innocent:
