Never trusted the Blairs when they got rid of Humphrey (named after the Yes Minster character - which always amused me)... anyone else remember the rumours she'd had him put to sleep - that were only quashed when the Daily Mail got a picture of him in his retirement home sat on the current day's newspaper?

And yep Larry's cat scratches are in the paper today - she'd tried to pick him up for a piece to camera when moggy was obviously sick of the media circus and reacted with a "oh let me go I'm bored" swipe.

I was impressed by how composed and laid back Larry appeared.  All the fuss and photographers and he just had 40winks.  So much for 'keep the new cat in a room on his own for a few days until acclimatised'  He seems able to contend with anything - perhaps he should sit in on cabinet meetings and put a sensible point of view!

Apparently he scratched the ITN political reporter  :evillaugh:

"During Tory Edward Heath's premiership in the 1970s, a kitten called Wilberforce was acquired from the RSPCA. He retired in 1986, with Margaret Thatcher reported to have bought him a tin of sardines during a trip to Moscow"

OMG   Do I have to change my opinion of Mrs T?   :-:  Nah, don't think so  :innocent:

Yes and I also read she adopted the next cat that came in 1989 until Chere Blair got rid of him - my goodness I didnt have Mrs T down as a cat lover at all - but no chance of that warming me to her
Love from Rachael & fur babies Nina & Rio

RIP Bertie 23/12/2007
RIP Oscar 31/08/2011
RIP Edgar 09/11/2011

Always loved, never forgotten

See big society in action - why call out the local council when you can get a volunteer to do the work.

He'll be okay with the 4 legged rates, it's the 2 legged ones that worry me, :naughty:
