In the interests of fairness, I gave Lazarus some and he wolfed it  :)

I am wary of giving him anything that might affect his Megacolon but the ingredients look good and it does have vegetable fibre in.

It was the chicken flavour that Lazarus had.

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Oh dear - thanks Mark.

At least Luna's a gannet and will eat most things, lets hope she's true to form for this stuff  :tired:

Mine are particularly fussy, but...

They wouldn't even go near it.

I won some of both flavours in the purrs auction but no luck - I offered it to the 2 cats who come in the garden begging but they turned their noses up as well. To me it smells like brewers yeast tablets.

It might be one of those foods you have to introduce slowly.

I went to a different pet food shop yesterday and picked up a new dry food to try.

It's Meowing heads 'Purr-nickety'.  It says its 80% meat and the write-up looks good.

Information
Ingredients:

Fresh Scottish Salmon (min 26%), Dried Fish, Dried Salmon (min 12%), Dried Chicken, Ground Oats, Dried Egg, Sunflower Oil, Salmon Oil, Minerals, Vegetable Fibre, Natural Seaweed, Dried Tomato, Dried Carrot, Cranberry, Vitamins.

Typical Analysis:

Protein 42%, Fat 18%, Fibre 2%, Ash 9.5%, Moisture 8%

Vit A 25,000 iu/kg, Vit D3 1,700 iu/kg, Vit E (tocopherols) 350 iu/kg

Copper (copper sulphate) 30mg/kg

Omega 6 (linoleic acid) 6.7%

Taurine 1000 mg/kg

Preserved naturally with natural antioxidants (mixed tocopherols)

I bought a 2kg bag for £10.20 which doesn't seem too bad for the quality of food but i've not been brave enough to do the taste test yet - They didn't like Applaws last time I tried so am hoping they like this food.
