It's nice for me to see light at the end of the tunnel since we got a cat-tested rescue dog at new year... and introductions had got to the point of both of them pointely ignoring each other with the odd hissing tail like a loo brush just to remind the smelly newcomer who the supreme overlord and boss of the world is... then we had to go away very very rapidly to visit a dying almost-relative (very much a completely adopted family member in all but genetics... essentially more of a father to me than my own one ever was) and the change in routine - it was literally a "run next door to find a cat feeding volunteer, chuck dog stuff and basket in back of car and get on the road within an hour" has completely thrown things back to about square 2 (not quite square 1 where the cat managed to climb up the curtains - not bad for an amputee - then promptly slid straight back down, but still back quite a way).
I know we'll get there - just disheartened by how far it's jumped back... and going to have it all to do again for the inevitable funeral if/when the worst does happen. Thanks for the reminder we'll get there - cos neither of them are getting given up on!
