Great updates WC. Any more accidents?
Sadly - yes
Mr Celyn decided to leave a large poo up by our front door. At least we know hes "been" .... If Id caught it, Id have left a little in the litter tray - but it was in the early hours and Kieron flushed it !
I get the impression from what Kieron said that Celyn had hung on to that for a while ..... Seems it was odourless and a tad dry .... Thing is - we dont yet know waht is "normal" for him and he had eaten a lot of dry stuff. Hes drinking though, too. Seen him do it - and hes eaten wet food
I had another cat, years ago, who when upset by changes would use odd places to poo. Mr Gizmo. Giz would use a tray happily until something disturbed him, a scare from anothe cat or a loud visitor, then for a few days hed hide all his poos in the srangest places - under rugs, wrapped in the curtain on the windowsill . Yeuch !..... Then afer a few days hed calm down again and hed be back to using the tray
If it carries on we will offer him his own "poo tray" and hope that solves the problem. He and Olwyn both wee happily in the same tray. Hes not bothered by her having been in it too. But maybe he wants a place "just for his poos" as it were. If only he could tell me ! With observation and experimentation my guess is he and I will get it right
Everything is else is going fine. Both like to eat in the evening - and consumed a reasonably large meal of biscuits (Purina adult) and a fair portion of cooked chicken .
Im ashamed to say I shared part of a mug of milk with Olwyn - who was clearly after me to let her have a taste ! I used to do that with Mr T and a little cat slobber never killed me yet. Dont worry - it really was a teeny taste and I think she just wanted to know what it was !
So watch this space for the great "poo update" - Current thinking is I will give him his own extra tray tonight, show it to him and hope for the best !
Knowing cats, I will probably then find Olwyn asleep in it !
