There are only two scientific references in the first article (both relating to humans?) and none at all in the other two. A first year undergraduate would receive an outright fail for that level of research! Please understand anyone can publish anything on the internet, some will tell you the earth is flat and that our leading politicians are shapeshifting aliens.
My understanding is that obligate carnivores cannot digest most plant oils; Mark may be better placed to comment on whether that is a universal truth. Certainly there is scientific evidence that humans - omnivores - can covert just 10% of plant omega-3 to the usable form - basically we need the fish variant as that is what we evolved to metabolise.
I will admit I am far from convinced of the health benefits of coconut oil in humans, there are no meta-analyses that I am aware of and I would never advocate it to my clients. I don't agree with Den that it is not harmful, getting the balance of fats in the diet wrong can be harmful to any animal - an example which springs to mind relating to cats is an excess of tuna causing steatitis which is painful and can be fatal.
