I cant do it.
I just can't do it.
I'm terrified to let my babies outside for fear of them running off, getting lost, getting hurt etc etc....
The awful thing is, I know how much they like being outside, chasing the beasties! They still can't work out how to use the catflap which is stressing me out. So if I do let them out, I've got to hang around waiting for them to come in.
We have 3 doors - patio door at the rear, door at side of house with catflap and the front door which we rarely use.
If I take Peanut out and stand infront of the side door she will (eventually
) push through the catflap, but I don't know whether she would know to go round the side of the house when I let them out through the patio door, because the last time I left them on their own for a bit, I found Peanut waiting outside the patio door to be let in!
It's doing my head in, cuz I can't lose the fear
I think I was spoilt with Possum, because she only went out to go to the toilet and then came straight back in, she never wandered off, she loved to spend her time asleep on the bed
I appreciate that if a cat has never used a catflap before, it will take time. I think the real issue is my fear of them getting hurt or taken.
I want to wrap my precious babies up in cotton wool
