I do so hope Thimble turns up safe and well soon - not knowing what has happened is about as bad as it gets.
I have everything crossed that the scaffolding man phones and it
is
Thimble.

Hoping for a call from the scaffolding man...! I've looked the map and I now realise there's lots of fenced off wasteland behind which there's no legal access to, but there is also a cemetery next to that so I shall take a walk down there tomorrow as it would be silly to go on my own now while it's getting dark! (not the nicest area I live in...) But I will take some food with me.
The man said the cat is probably in the yard chasing rats...I wouldn't out it past Thimble although a rat would probably be nearly as big as her!
Having a tough evening as boyfriend at his first day at his temporary job and it's 4.30pm -12.30am and I'm all alone :-(

That's really positive about the scaffolding man sightings though? Fingers crossed you get a call from him soon

For those following my desperate search for Thimble, my baby. We had a false alarm yesterday, but also a call about a possible sighting at an industrial park. So we went there today as it was all locked up yesterday. Spoke to all the businesses, gave more posters out. No-one had seen a cat.
Then in reception the lady said her colleague saw a cat who'd been knocked down last week and she called the council. Now I've been ringing them everyday so how did I not know about this?! I was panicking again. So I rang them and after a long conversation and a lot of being on hold they found out that cat had been a black one. So not thimble. She is dark but wouldn't be described as black as has too much brown, ginger and white. Phewf!
We then drove past the industrial estate and saw the scaffolding company the lady who called about the sighting had mentioned. So I went in and interrupted a man's lunch to ask. He was a real geezer
He looked at the picture and was positive it was thimble he's been seeing!? I am not naive enough to believe this straight away... He said a cat comes into the yard scrounging every couple of days, so I asked him to call me next time the cat turns up.
So that's where we are. I shall have to call the scaffolding guy if I haven't heard from him in a couple of days. I am also going to look at a map and maybe take a few walks down round the back as it's near the canal. I need to at least see the cat he's talking about so we can establish if it's her or not....
I have one hell of a headache today, and the doctor said my blood pressure is up. It must be all this stress. I try to stay calm and positive, but as any of you who've been there yourself, this can't be done all the time!
