as ive mentioned once before my cat flossy often sneezes and shes 100 percent fit and healthy
my vet said she may b allergic to something we use in the house
cat litter ,air freshner , etc etc

Not related to sneezing, but kittens shouldn't have clumping litter in case they eat it.

People can get hayfever without going outside so guess that cats can too.

Sneezing can be brought on by other things like a new soap pwder, cleaner, stuff you put on carpets etc etc, so if you have been using anything new this maybe the reason.

My Max critter has been sneezing a lot in the past week. Can cats get hayfever, even if they don't have outdoor access? I wondered if it was the time of year.
I use the Sainsburys ultra-clumping stuff which doesn't pong too bad, plus once you've poured it there's minimal clouds of dust. However you have to buy a metal spatula to remove the clumps as they mean it when they say ULTRA clumping  :Crazy:

Not sure about the catsan but clay clumping litter can be a bit dusty so it could be that that's making him sneeze.  I know the one I use can be dusty.  You could try something like worlds best which is also clumping but made from corn and, I believe, non dusty to see if that helps.

Ever since Charlie arrived with us he's always had a wee sneeze now and again (maybe like twice a day)

It seems to have gotten a bit more frequent in the past week, and I've been looking for other signs of cold/flu but he's fine apart from the sneezing.

I phoned the vet for advice and spoke to the nurse, she asked about runny nose, dischage in eyes eating/drinking etc.. He has none of that and eats/drinks frequently.

So she asked about the litter I'm using, it's cat-san clumping clay, she said he may be allergic to it and to try changing it.

Has anyone came across this before and what kind of litter could I try? Would it just be the dust from the clay he can't tolerate?
