I've never been to the shop but I've ordered from them online, they have some lovely things.

Don't want to give too much away but the Cat Gallery have agreed to donate a prize to the Xmas Auction  ;)

As you said it is a great shop and well worth a visit if you are in York.
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

We always pop in there when we go to York (quite often) and last time I was in bought some cat claw clippers, they are very good  ;D

I also met the guy who owns the the shop at the Cat Chat party.

It's a lovely shop and I highly recommend their large mugs. Bought the caffinated/decaf one for a friend's birthday and she loves it!

I had a day out in York today with my OH and in The Shambles we found a place called The Cat Gallery!! It was full of cat toys and cat related mugs/pictures/ornaments etc

We didn't buy any cat toys cause they were all the same as the purrs shop including da bird and yeow toys and it felt to disloyal to buy them from somewhere else!!

I tried to make my OH by a t-shirt with 'the catfather' on it but he resisted!!

Well worth a visit for anyone heading that way!!  ;D
