Thanks everyone. I've always wanted to volunteer to do something but new I would be crying all the time if I was working really closely with the animals so this is just ideal.
The training was 2 1/2 hrs Mark. We watched videos and said what we thought was wrong and then we were told all sorts about the RSPCA and how each branch has their own wages etc. to find and what the Headquarters do and don't do - very interesting. We were asked if we wanted to shadow someone but I said I was confident enough on my own.
There are some other courses that we can attend if we wish to - she said there is a really exciting one about fleas and worms
She said it's good fun actually.
