Ditto

Maybe the £150 includes 2nd vacs and any PKD-related medical bills covered then?

I would have thought finding someone prepared to take on a cat like this in itself would be enough, although a voluntary donation would be welcome.

From the feline PKD page

"Polycystic Kidney Disease is a slowly progressive disease. It clinically shows up later in life (late onset), with enlarged kidneys and kidney dysfunction on average at seven years of age"

My Suzie was 14 when it caught up with her, and so was Jasper - but my friend's cat died due to PKD at only 3 yrs old - it all depends on how many cysts there are, how big, how fast they grow, and if they are on both kidneys and/or other organs, because they can be present on other internal organs, like the liver too.

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Absolutely unbelieveable that a pkd positive older Persian can be offered for adoption and the rescue seriously expect a donation of £150.

I'm disgusted.

No wonder rescues get such bad press at times.

And yes I do rescue work too.
