Zorbing / Sphereing Event in Aid of Sunny Harbour Kitties

We would like to thank everyone who sponsored Paul & Beth in the dare devil event that took place on Saturday.  Anyone who has been on our facebook page would see that we were all gutted when the organisers of the Sphering / Zorbing event cancelled on us at the last minute.

Not to be outdone by the weather I set to organising an alternative for them for the Saturday with literally a few hours to spare. I managed to secure them places on the Go Ape tree top adventure which includes the longest zip wire in the UK.  What I didn't tell Paul & Beth that was before they got to the zip wire they had to complete a series of 30 tree top obstacles that were around 16m above the ground secured simply by a climbing harness :naughtysmile:

Needless to say when they discovered this there faces were a complete picture!!    They managed to get some video and photos as they went round and I picked up some photos and video of them leaving.  I am working my way through the footage however it you would like to see the photos of the day they can be found on our facebook page photos here:

They will still get to do their Roll down the hill however they will have to wait until March 2011. Somehow though compared to this it will be a walk in the park!!

Just a few more days until they are flung down the hill as it is this coming Saturday.  Though I think Paul is starting to get a tad aprehensive now but am sure they will both be fine (and entertaining) lol

Well all I can say is that Paul & our neice Beth are mad     however they have decided to do a Zorbing / Sphering event to help raise pennies for the kitties at Sunny Harbour.

They hope to raise £500 for the kitties to help towards our ever increasing veterinary bills by being hurled down a steep hill in the Scottish countryside at speeds of 30mph +!!    

They may just be mad to go through with it but both have agreed and it is now booked for the 2nd October!!  so no getting out of it now
