Like Bren I have a large longhaired soggy moggy, who does know its raining at night ans will sit out in it!

He has just descovered that I sleep in a bed usually as a birman sandwich, he doesnt like birmans so jumps onto the bed with soggvy moggy fur flying to try and land on a small cat and soke me in the process. He shakes his suit like a dog and sprays water everywhere.

Sasa doesnt much like the rain and is moping under the kitchen table!

I am lucky that mine dont understand kitchens, just like any other room to them  ;D

What's worse is that big fat black longhaired Jasper doesn't mind the rain.  He gets drenched and then comes in, all over the carpet and furniture, and rubs around my legs - Nurse me mum, til I'm dry!-  Carrie and Harvey look at me demanding I turn the wet stuff off and I've had to retrieve the cat tower from upstairs to give mad Harvey something to play with.  It's eased off here (Coventry) so they're all out for a while. Might be safe to get the ironing board out..................or maybe not.

The Kray twins are running around moaning because they can't go out. They are expecting the rain to stop at least twice every ten seconds and it appears it  is my fault it is raining!!Now because they only started going out this year they seem to expect that the weather is always hot and have no concept that we only get about three weeks a year of that and the rest is like this!! Ella is worse and is walking around like it's the end of the world. She is sat on the window ledge and every so often her head pops through the crack in the curtains and she lets out a painful mewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww then she stares out aghain

The problem is that because they are not out, they are very much IN, which means they are very much involved in anything I do. I am used to them following me around but they seem to think my every move tonight is going to make the rain stop and squeal everytime I a) make a gesture b) talk c) move d) leave the room. like it has a hidden meaning towards rain stopping!

They are not allowed in the kitchen but I felt sorry for Ella and let her in with me and  then Effie pretty much ramraided the door to get in. I thought it was the police on a drugs bust she came in with such force.

Anyway I made a sandwich, buttered the bread and when I went to the fridge, by the time I am turned around Ella was sitting on the sandwich. Now Effie seems to be licking butter off her nether regions!

Loading the dishwasher was a nightmare because Effie felt the need to tap everytime I put in. Ella did her usual, I can turn on the kitchen tap (She cannot turn it off, hence why she is banned from the kitchen) and helped herself for a drink. Between glugs she checked out the window and gave me a dirty look.

Oh how I already miss the three hours of silence I get from the Kray twins... well i say three hours but they are back every thirty seconds to see what they might be missing!!

 Is it summer yet.....

Here at teh Clan we had a couple of minor incidents when Robins parents were staying - Bailey helped himself to a slice of buttered toast and Sunny then knicked it from Bailey FIL shocked then I noticedWispa with his foot in the butter

We also lost 3 slices of ham to the OOdie Doodies Aztec, Maya, Jet and Turbo move as a 4 some and it was quite funny as FIL had opened their chicken for his sandwich!

Have to say that its a daily thing here at the Clan someone will always be doing something they shouldn't but I think its quite sweet they want to interact at every meal - Fudge discovered she likes Pizza crust toinight - Sunny Border Collie wasn't impressed as he gets to "steal" the crusts when I am feeding baby Charlie! :sneaky:

Is there anything at all outside that they can sit under so they're outside but not getting wet? If so, walk over towards said shelter purposefully - they'll probably follow you, realise they're getting wet and dart for cover, then be so annoyed by the rain that they stay there until dinner is served  ;) You never know, they may even catch the squirrel while they're out there :)

Can't help on the sandwich front I'm afraid, I have to get my hubby to stand guard over Rossi while I make ours. He was even sat next to the hob this evening trying to eat our baked beans straight from the pan - managed to drag him away (almost with the trivet still grasped between his front paws) just before he made contact  :P

I am currently trying to figure out a way to get into the kitchen and make tomorrow's butties without him hearing me, but in spite of the fact I know he's currently sound asleep, you can guarantee the second the fridge door opens he'll be there meowing at me as if he's never seen food in his life. It's like the cat version of an alarm clock
