Um, no. There is a potential one in mind but I'm not telling as she's not technically a proper resident yet. :evillaugh:

Well, she is still a sort of half resident in my head but her collar is off and so far no new one has appeared.

She is not, however, adjusting well to house rules. The cat flap gets locked at about 8pm so once they ocme in that's it for the night. She does not like this, although most nights she doesn't come in till about 11pm anyway. The bit she's really protesting about is the morning rule. She wants to go out at about 4-5am and until yesterday I was letting her out. Not now, so I have spent probably a good half an hour each morning listening to her trying to get out. I'm very tired!

This evening she's made the mistake of coming in about 10 minutes ago, she's now trying to get out quite frantically. I feel awful but I can't have one rule for Chilli and Dave and another for her, although I do let her out after breakfast and she comes back through the one way cat flap and is always here when I get home (not that I've any idea how long she stays out for in the mornings after I leave), so that's a compromise I'm making for her.

So, so far, quite hard work but she's a lovely, purry little thing full of character :Luv2:

You really couldn't have missed my note. She had a black thick leather collar and my note was wrapped round it on brown paper at the back of her neck, it never slid round.

Hard to tell with the hunger thing as she is always super interested when food is being prepared but then rarely eats. She is only a petite cat though so doesn't have an enormous appetite anyway.

She is in mine all day, goes out for a few hours late afternoon, comes back in the evening, stays until early morning, about 5 or 6am then comes back before I leave for work at 8.30am. So here more than she is anywhere else.

I'll give it some time, as I know she's been spayed I'm pretty confident she'll have had her vacc's too so that's an expense I don't need to worry about for now.

Just have to wait and see what happens, maybe someone will come back from holiday realise she's been gone all that time. The vet has my details if anyone gets in touch with them.

How much time is she spending at yours overall.

Did she look hungry when she first turned up? You have done everything you can. My only concern is if she disappears as soon as she arrives and how that might make you feel or if you spend money on her. Sooner of later she will need vaccinations and you don't want to spend money on her if she is trotting off to her first home!

I would change her collar and see if you can attach another piece of paper - that WILL get their attention!

Having taken it off today it's actually an old collar that has been badly trimmed down and now buckle holes made in it. But that appeared sometime last week.

Again, totally perplexed by the whole thing and why no-one is looking for her!

I'm still being cautious as a week isn't really long enough to establish that her owners won't come forward.

We ahve had a little progress though, she has, for the first time, come and joined me on the sofa and is currently purring very very loudly :Luv2:

Still being a bit reluctant to name her, Missy Moo, my term of affection for her and Chilli, will have to suffice for now.

So it sounds she hasn't been back to whoever out the horrible collar on her. She is far better off with you anyway

So a lot of you will know the ongoing saga with the little black and white cat but I'll give you a rundown.

She turned up on Friday and had a snooze on my sofa. Didn't think twice about it as she's always visited, just never stayed for any length of time before.

She stayed all night and all Saturday, only leaving for a couple of hours. So I attached a note to her collar and let her come and go as she pleased as we've been having awful weather and didn't want to shut her out in the rain as I have seen her out at all hours in all weathers before.

Come Monday the note was still attached and still nothing from anywhere about a missing cat. I knocked a few doors but not many people were home and I had no luck.

Today I took her to the vet to see if she's chipped and she's not. They've had no missing cat reports and I've been checking online too for any missing cat reports.

I don't have a printer to make flyers or posters and besides, it's done nothing but rain so even a handwritten poster would be ruined within an hour! (Got to love a Scottish summer).

Add this onto the dreadful dog collar she has on (which I think I will take off today) and the fact I can't figure out what she's been eating as she mooches enthusiastically all the time but put cat food in front of her and she turns her nose up! I did manage to coax her into eating some Feline Fayre tuna by putting a couple of Dreamies on top earlier :sneaky:

So unless someone comes forward, for the meantime it looks like my brood has increased to 3! oh well, I don't need to eat three meals a day anyway :evillaugh:

Dave is not in the least bit bothered but then nothing bothers him, not even when Chilli smacks him on the head for no good reason :evillaugh: Chilli is being a little grumpy but isn't swiping at anyone, just complaining profuse if either Dave or the little one come within a couple of feet of her :evillaugh:

Looks like I'd better get some Feliway in to help relations along when I get paid next week :shy:
