We tried everything humanly possible to get rid of him to anyone who would take him  :innocent: but we made the mistake of giving him a name .... eventually .... Groucho  :Luv:

Truth is someone showed an interest and we immediately panicked and took him off the rehoming market  ;)

Sounds like mine and Bonnie's story - I fostered her on the Thursday and on Sunday someone phoned from the RSPCA to say someone wanted to look at her for adoption and I lied and said I was going out all afternoon.  I phoned back about 1/2 hour later and said I was sorry I lied and I wanted her.  Monday I signed the adoption papers  :Luv2:

I would hope my natural inclination would be to give people the benefit of the doubt JS but he isn't feral, I am assured no nearby residential property where he was found and infested with fleas leans me towards a more sinister view on this occasion.  I know he looks cute on the video but in the flesh .....  :star1:  How anyone would have the heart to maltreat such a little thing is appalling to think of.

He has no name coz that's what leads on to more permanent arrangements  :sneaky:.  I refer to him as the little fella/chap and OH has called him all sorts (Alexander, Julius, Oscar, Jesse James ..... but never the same twice  :shify: )  I've just popped a card around to next door neighbours on the off chance they might have him.  She was thinking of getting a kitten for her three boys (youngest about 8 ) last year but didn't go ahead.  Have to admit I tried to convince her to get an older cat   :evillaugh:  I think this little fella might do OK with kids though.  He's got a lot of spirit!

.... but the plan is still to try and rehome this little fella.

Pfttttt. ;) He sounds adorable, Rosella! I hope that he just strayed near the canal rather than what you're thinking but I can understand your cynicism with regards to the human race. What's he called?

He's a bit of a super star.  We have had our 1st poo overnight following a few pees yesterday ALL in litter trays  :Luv:  Isn't he clever? He was treated for fleas and worms at vets yesterday Gill.  They are dying off now thankfully.  I was tempted to try and give him a bath but I just can't do it to the little chap in case my suspicions of why he was found by canal are right  :(

I allowed Fred in this morning to say hello for half a minute.  Young un gave Fred a right good hissy spitty telling off for looking in his direction  :-:

He's got bags of character and been running around like a loony then just flakes out in his radiator bed.  If we leave him for any time, he wedges himself behind small TV (took a while to find him so had panic stations.  I thought of you Pav when Millie went missing that time and told myself to calm down, he simply couldn't have got out!).  OH slept with him overnight and someone was with him all day yesterday except for a couple of hours so he's doing OK for company.  When we are happy that fleas are sorted, we'll bring him downstairs but the plan is still to try and rehome this little fella.

Ahhhhhh I did wonder about small insects cos saw him scratching in a different video  :(

I believe that flea spray from the vets can be put on a cloth and rubbed on them at that age, if that helps!

I just dont understand how anyone could not love him  ;D

No large insect Gill but many many small ones  :-:.  Alot of fleas on this little chap and much fleadirt.

Thankfully he is not too bad about being groomed but will take some time to get him properly sorted.

He's quite manic when he gets going  :).  I'm not even playing bed mice.  He just creates his own games.  He has taken over a little strpey mouse that no one else has ever shown interest in and is giving it a right hammering.  I daren't show another video of him as I might get banned  :innocent:
