indoor cats but with summer looming how can i have my windows open

when i had a look at the things u can fit to the windows to stop the cats getting out they were very expensive and u have to pay for someone to fit them properly too
my house gets hot in the summer too
i always have my kitchen and bathroom windows open wide
but with the living room dinning room i have had to just put up with having them open a tiny bit with the saftey catch 
ive got ceiling fans going round and i have standing fans but nothing beats the windows and doors wide open on a sunny day does it

yes there is..you can get specific see through net thingys for this that are properly fitted into double glazing units but i'm blowed if i can remember the company name

i have indoor cats thing is my house gets terribly hot in the summer and i would love to have the windows open for fresh air etc

is there anything i can buy not too expensive to put over my windows to stop the cats getting out but at the same time we can all have some fresh air
