Am very surprised not to have Anne Tabby Cat threatening a catnapping mission coz Pumpkin sorta reminds me of someone  :innocent:

I'm afraid he also looks very much like the crazy ginger pud outside our house this am (about 18 months old same as our girls I'd say).

2 chaps were other side of our narrow road talking about manoeuvring the skip with a little yorkie in cabin when ginger from half way down the road decided to do a Kamikaze dive towards the road as I heard a truck approach

Everyone including chaps, dog and cat were startled by shrieks as I bellowed "NO"  followed by  "I SAID NO!" .  As ginger scuttled off back onto pavement and home (about 10 houses down the road) I sheepishly explained "he's a right little bu**er that one" (I've posted before about him sitting in road) to which the scruffy skip driver said "but you wouldn't want anything to happen to the little chap would you"  Bless!  :)

So glad Pumpkin found you Sam  :).  Whether or not he picked anything up from your lot, plenty of horrid stuff could have happened to the little chap by now if left to his own devices

So it seems that he is making you feel guilty and run after him cause he's not well - and you say he's not staying!!!!

Me thinks Pumpkin could have a lot of vets visits just to ensure he will be staying :sneaky: ;)

Sam you could of called him sweetie pie as in the affectionate term but oh no you gave him a name lol.  He looks at you so adoringly and so trusting and you going to make him leave you and go miles away from the person he chose to be his guardian.  You should know by now that you don't own the house the cats do.

Just think of this saying "You don't share your home with the cat, the cat shares its home with you" if they are not happy they leave and he chose you to share his home with.

You know he has left his little pawprints on your heart already.  Deep down you know he is really home and he classes you as his meowmy.  He will cry for his meowmy and you will make him feel rejected if you send him away.

PS So glad you caught him early with the virus and he has not got a poorly leg.

Only just spotted this thread.  :sneaky:

You lot are mean! Sam did the decent thing and took in a poor lost soul and gave him shelter and look you lot are like.  :innocent: :evillaugh:

I reckon someone's going to came back home from hols pretty soon (maybe even stranded due to one of these travel firms going bust?) and find the trusted friend/relative who is supposed to be looking after their beloved ginger kitten has let him out.  :scared: They'll be devastated.  :( Look at him... he's no stray. I seen enough strays or dumpees in my life. Someone has been taking great care of him.  :naughty: He's been allowed to escape by some careless visiting feeder I reckon.  :tired:

Poor little mite.  Good job he's got you to look after him.  So the vet doesn't think he's had his vaccinations?

It's hard to say Susanne .... but she suspected not.  :-:

and where is he sleeping tonight?

Well that's a silly question .... if you're feeling poorly you go to bed - and seeing as there is only one double bed in the house we had to share!  :evillaugh:

There's no way on this earth I could let Pumpkin go if I found him in my garden! Especially after letting him integrate with your current furbaby family! I think you'll miss him terribly ..... :sneaky:

So totting up food costs and vet fees, your investment in this "stray" now stands at approximately, say £60?

Big spends for an unwanted "stray" you named Pumpkin who has slept on your bed from day one......................

Your right hun it is a"big investment" perhaps this should serve as a warning to other potential owners!  Kittens may be small but they are not cheap  ;).  I'm just pleased it was me that found him and I was in a position to be able to help him.

The vet did say that he might have picked up the germs from my lot .... they are adult so any sniffles that they could have been carrying wouldn't have affected them but with Pumpkin being so young and obviously not having had his jabs his immune system isn't developed yet.

The STRAY (aka Pumpkin)is feeling alot better thanks.  But I am so pleased I took him to the vet tonight .... turns out he hadn't injured himself.  The poor little lamb had a temperature of 40.2 degrees!!!  The vet said it was probably a virus.  :scared:

He has had a jab of antibiotics,  jab of anti-inflammatories and a 5 day course of penicillin.  He is nowmuch better ... within 1 hour of having the jab he has perked up no end and had a whole packet of kitten food  :)

FYI HE IS STAYING!!!

poor little mite. Good news though that his leg is ok.

P.S Hope it's just a sprain but give him a gentle :care: from me and the boys

Well what would you do Helen ... call him "oi", make him sleep outside and leave the poor mite to suffer in silence if he was hurt!???? I don't think so!  :naughty:

BTW ... you forgot the fact that I went to Pets at Home last night and bought Felix Kitten pouches and Applaws kitten dry
Oh yeah, and that  :naughty:
