Squirts eye is looking better so hopefully it will get the all clear on Thursday.

Romeo is still washing him like a mum and I half suspect Squirt actually wees which causes Romeo to gag a bit.

Famvir in and first dose administered.
Had to buy the whole box of 21 tablets - £222 - they let me off the 8p. Still, suggested dose is 1/4 tablet for 8 days so thats 10 treatments (ignoring the fact he was on it for over a month last time!).

he took it down first time but they were not impressed as i think they were all expecting more turkey and were all hovering...

Squirt had to go back to the vets today as his eye was looking red. And yes we have a little ulcer again so its back onto the ab's and ointment. The Famvir is on order at my local chemist who says it will be there tomorrow.

Squirt was weighed to get the dosing correct and even though quite smaller than his brother still weighed in at just over 2Kg.

He is not impressed at being medicated again and is proving to be a right little

Hopefully, we will get it all under control quicker this time. He's due back in for a check up in 7 days.

His brother had his second jab today and I have told them all about the delights of ball-off day that seems to be approaching very quickly.

Dawn (Squirts mum) went to her new home on saturday.

Juliet has decided she does not like kittens - including her own daughter Portia - and will only sleep near Romeo. Portia is still avoiding me but is booked in at the vets on friday for neutering.

Squirts eye is almost all healed.

Dye did not highlight any ulcer and there's only a slight opaquiness to it......

Been to vets again today. Eye is still bad but he is doing good. up 200g in last week to 1.3kg,
Eye has stopped weeping and is quite dry and sometimes even open (until I get near it with a tube of cream or the vet tries to have a look and see what's going on).

Next check up in a weeks time. I think its just wait and see how much scarring there is etc....

the vet who saw him today hasn't seen him for over 2 weeks and says he's a proper little man now.

just come back from vet and jury is still out about eye..... he will be going back in another 5 days, but I am happy for him to have visitors now.
