Major breakthough with this little girl she used a grit box outside her own guest suite this morning ;D

She is also spending so much more time with the Clan and has met everyone except Riley who is living on top of the wardrobe in our bedroom

She has come on so much in her 6 months with us but still is a bit grumpy but god love my Clan kids they on the most part ignore her except Mckenzie ferla he thinks she is a babe and is in  :Luv2:

She still is grumpy towards the kittens but young Charlie is a bit hormonal and thinks she might be girl friend material - she is speyed!

She is also under going a name change for use in the house as we already have Sky border Collie so she is answering th Gigi short for Grumpy guts

Miss Skye, Grumpy guts became a fully paid up member of the Clan after her vets visit on Saturday she had her booster, Program injection and her ID chip so she is going to stay with us as a forever foster unless her Grandparents want to adopt her - they adore her but Beethoven their cat is 17.5 years young and they are just concerned what a 15 month old feisty tabby could do to his life

So please welcome officially now a Clan cat and a Sunny Harbour baby to the Clan :Luv2: ;D

Thought I would post some up to date Piccies of Miss Skye, Grumpy Guts, Carman Miranda of The Clan Cats and Sunny Harbour

She is being nice today and spent nearly 5 hours out yesterday of her guest suite so we are making progress but she doesn't like kittens so poor Charlie, Echo and Miss pagan are taking a right lot of grumps and the odd paw swipe but she is being a tad better behaved after Uncles Ace, Blue, Harper and McKenzie had a bit of a go =- they adore the kittens and are playing with them and I thinkl helping tame the wild boys down :Luv2:

Thought I should up date this - will add some photo's later on from big computer upstairs

She is slowly coming out more and more and now answers to Grumpy guts and Physco Skye   she is still a bit grumpy but the clan aren't to bothered by her but she is not to keen on Charlie, Echo and Pagan so we tend to ensure kittens are with us as she is a tad flighty with her paws but isn't shredding humans so much and loved my nephews X box a couple of weeks ago

Well Miss Skye has been out with the Clan for 2 days and goes in to her Guest Suite at night so some of us can get some sleep - she is a bit narky with the others but they look at her as much to say get over yourself

We will keep going with the integration and it will be done at a slow pace and will be plugging in some Feliway and having some Zylkene bowls of tea so we can help her along as we need the guest quarters are needed for a visiting cat and 2 dogs!

Well Miss Skye is out on the growl sorry prowl again andis currently sitting growling at me as I am on the seat she wants to sit on!

The integration is going at her pace but we may need to change her name as SKY the border collie can't seem to understand we are talking to her and not to him and when she comes in the lounge he gets a bit hang doggie and Sunny can't get to grips when we say Skye NO!

Not so nervous about introducing newbies as ours tend to take it in their stride as all have now had newbies or been newbies at some point

We do however watch them with the kittens as some bring home bigger prey - today its 3 rabbits and 4 mice - thankfully only two thirds of them are hunters

Well Miss Skye had her first full night out of her guest quarters and thenkfully we all managed to get some sleep once she had finished growling at the Clan who were as usual totally unfazed

She eventually fell asleep in the study upstairs and was sharing a barrel with Harper - it has 3 sleeping levels - Harper isn't that sort of boy on a first date

She also met new white boy and he just fluffed up when she used bad swear words

We then tried to put her back in to her guest quarters for some sleep this morning and had to resort to welding guantlets

She is now outcold on her Kingsize bed with the electric blanket on ;D

Well an up date on Miss Skye from Sunny Harbour is long over due - she is coming on slowly and still has the shredder tendancies we are growing to love

Today she has been on the otherside of the door yup she has escaped from her guest quarters - her own bedroom and ensuite to the run of the house and has met nearly all teh Clan apart from the night owls and the ones who aren't in yet - she has used some very colourful language and tried to shred Robin  :-[

She also got bopped by darling Ace who was laying on the catroom bed in the sunshine when she landed on him

Photo's are of Miss Grumpy Guts in my study - OH said to her and I quote looks like another one that we will be keeping!!!!!!!!!

Well Miss Skye got in to the bedroom of the ensuite last night and had a ball - I remade the bed twice before her roomies arrived!

She is keeping Robins parents company for a week and  they are overjoyed to have cat company as usually our mob aren't allowed in there!

She has also shredded 2 of her new Grandads fingers  but he did advise it was all his fault - he took liberties with her treats he open the box and didn't giver her one

She also is a red dot addict so we will be playing laser pen now we have found something she does like apart from feather sticks ;D

Photo's tomorrow for this special little girl as she has come on in leaps and bounds and of course treats

Well having run out of Dreamies  I am feeding Miss Skye Whiskas kitbits and she is eating them but with that look!

She is a star using her grit box and am off to pop in a scratching post as the door frames weren't designed for her purpose of use currently!

She is a bit hissy since I ran out of dreamies but is tolerating the stroking and I side track her with a welding gauntlet and am scratch free to date

She has met some of the clan through the glass door and has shown no signs of running from them and is quite curious as to whats on the other side of the door!

Picces later today as I think she is feeling that way inclined but as a girl cat who knows how that mind works! ;D

thanks Liz for taking on Skye and giving her a chance.  She just needs some 1 to 1 attention away from any cats in sight so that she can be properly assessed and we can work out what is going to be best for her in terms of potential homes.  She is just a very very scared and unsocialised kitty bless her but underneath all the bravado she is a sweetheart just looking for the right person to love.

Hopefully her true nature will shine through over the next wee while and it will do her good to be away from here and we just have NO space whatsoever that is a cat free zone at the moment to give her the space and time she needs - well as you witnessed today :)  :tired:

Great to see you again and I apologise if not the best of hostess's - but as you saw - everything is pretty much bedlum here just now and my stress levels are through the roof!!

Today I went a day early to Suuny Harbours open day and met tons of wonderful cats and kittens and Sarah and Paul have trusted us with a Sunny Harbour lady a gorgeous ginger tabby lady Miss Skye to come to the Clan for some one to one attention and assessment.

We are very honoured that Sarah and Paul think we can work some magic on this little girl who after a trip home of 175 miles has licked some gravey off her food, played with a catnip sack, hissed at Roibin, had some Dreamies and is now outcold in the bidet desite having several beds to choose from!

Piccies will follow once she has had some settle in time, she was a star in the car and we will report more once she has settled in to her new guest suite a.k.a the pink bathroom!
