I can't imagine anyone knowing how to do that!
My (elderly) neighbour tells me that they used to sell 'pet meat', well it was horse meat apparently. So much for the fuss about raw feeding these days!

It makes me feel ancient to say that I remember going shopping to Rathbone Market in the East End with our neighbour when I was about 5. I remember her buying a live Eel. When she got home, she ran her thumb nail along its spine which made it go rigid, then chopped its head off. I can't imagine anyone doing that now?

Yup.  They're still only about 100g in a tray.

You've just reminded me that I've not bought this for a while now that I don't work near a Tesco.

Seriously, compared to other cat foods, it is a really solid, meaty type food? so probably double the amount of food.

Anyone remember when they had slab catfood that you bought by weight? - it is similar to that ( I remember it used to have veins, hairs etc in it  :sick: )

I got the dog version for Esco and he liked it. Couldn't ever find the cat version and then the dog version disappeared so assumed it had been discontinued. I will look out for it next time I'm in Tesco...the price of Hi Life just keeps increasing!!!

The foil trays used to be 59p each. It must be 2 years since the price dropped to 22p a tray. I assumed it had been discontinued and was on clearance (I think Desley posted about it as well?) As it is a really solid supermeat type food, a foil tray is probably 2 meals. It is Wheat, soya and dairy free. It is min 60% named flavour. It comes in Turkey and Lamb flavours.

Clapton ate it for a while but went off it. The hedgies like it  :shify:
