I think we have agreed to either see Howard next weekend or the weekend after....we have a choice between two of the 'boys' but my mind is set, once again the kitten has chosen us not the other way around  :Luv:

I know that sounds pretty awful/insensitive choosing between one or the other, but they have barely opened their eyes, and I (for one) would like to see them a few weeks older.

The kitten Debs has posted is VERY dark, in fact he looks near black.....he's my choice though...he even has black ears  :evillaugh:

Howard actually means "Guardian of the Home"   http://www.thenewparentsguide.com/baby-names-h.htm  ...Not that he looks much like he's up to guarding anything at the moment bless him

:Luv: :Luv: :Luv: Howard is gorgeous.

BTW .. did you know that Howard means "protector of the home" ... I only know this because the White Witch that lives across the road from me has just got herself a new 8 week old kitten and he is also called Howard.

Wow thank you so much for that Sam. We didn't know that the name Howard had such a wonderful meaning, that has made us both smile  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

Glad Teoh is OK after his "leap"  I remember when I caught Zephyr jumping out of my 1st floor bathroom window ..I was beside myself and rushed downstairs to find him sat on the floor looking up at the window as much as to say "wow that was further than I thought it would be!"  Needless to say ... ALL first floor windows are now catproofed.

Gorgeous photo, he's so cute.

Cats definately do sustain injury, often very serious ones jumping from even that height so be careful, actually i've heard some people say that shorter falls ie first floors can sometimes be more dangerous as they dont always have enough time mid flight to rectify themselves

Hi Jules, Howard looks lovely, Debs must be over the moon with him  :Luv:

Glad to hear Teoh is fine after his 'fall'.  I had a similar episode with one of my boys, however I was in the room at the time and he most definitely jumped!!!!!  Suffice to say all my window are now either firmly shut or catproofed!

Keep us posted with more pics - your boys are lovely  :Luv:

Teoh decided to jump/fall out of a first floor window this morning

I say jump/fall because I simply can't believe he would try to 'jump' 13ft down onto the patio.

No harm done though it seems, I looked out of the window and he was smug as hell sitting under the garden furniture  :Luv:

Here is the first pic of Howard

Who was`it that said Bengals dont make lap cats? Teoh luuuuuurves the attention

Teoh is lovely Jules  :Luv:

Think you will find it was me who said they are not typically lapcats (some other breeds are more suited for this purpose but thats not to say bengals wont snuggle on laps!).  This is a common view shared by many official bengal clubs as well as the bengal cat rescue.  There are of course always exceptions to any rule and it sounds like Teoh is one of those  :)

I also said most people either decide to get them in pairs or get another one later  ;)

:Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: ahhhh ickle babie benglies  ... I misunderstood I thought "howard" was coming to you on the 9th not coming into the world on the 9th!   Bless .. so it will be another 12 or so weeks til he gets to you I suppose.

Pleased to hear Teoh is showing no side effects from his visit to Mr Vet  ... Zephyr was exactly the same ... I actually had a call from my vet when he was taken in to ask if I could come and collect him a bit earlier than arrange cuz he was making such a racket and was obviously over the anaesthetic

Have a lovely time on Sunday with the babies .. looking forward to seeing the first official "Howard" pics :)

Our little Teoh is truly mental  :-:

Far from being sleepy he is going absolutely mental...he's attacked us both (in a really playful manner) but Debs is now carrying some really nasty wounds  :scared:

I guess the Bengal genes over ride all this post op trauma business  :innocent:

Anyway, to answer our questions re: Howard......yes he was born july the 10th. We've not met him yet, but our breeder is pretty certain she has picked him out for us. We are paying them a visit on sunday to meet the latest member of our 'family'

Howard shares the same mum as Teoh, and his dad is silvergam silver shadow.

Here is Howard with princess, again she had nine kittens (one unfortunately died  :'( )

No idea which one is Howard mind you  :evillaugh:

Well, young Teoh had the 'snip and chip' today  :(

Apparently (according to the vet) he should be 'sleepy and lethargic' right now.

Predictably he's being his usual nutcase self  :evillaugh:

Hobbes loves those too, he gets them before I go to bed and he always jumps onto the platform on the cat tree to get them. He does respond sometimes to his name but it took him quite a while and like Mosi he has selective hearing too  I can sympathise with the lack of sleep too - 4am is Hobbes' favourite time to come for a cuddle and as he sticks his head under my hand until I stroke him I have no choice but to succumb  Having said that I did get to sleep in until 5am this morning and woke up of my own accord to see Dylan and Hobbes lying curled up together  :Luv: That will be it for the next few weeks tho

When they came near me I repeated their names over and over again at the same time as giving them some Milky Flake-ums for kittens (milky style kitten treats).  I did this for two days and now they bound over come to their names when called... most of the time!

:thanks: Helen. I will try this in the evening when our young man has his kitten milk treat. I do like the sound of your Milky Flake-ums, where do you get them from please?

Debs xx

I bought them from Pets at Home but they sell them in Jollyes and most online pet stores too...  They are very light in texture and weight and apparently they taste, well, um - milky! They get the big paws up from the boys  :drool; :ok:

Yay on the expected new arrival.

2 of our cats know their names, Lirael was originally named Kay by the breeder she's a very needs to be near you cat so she picked up her name fast (that and we were constantly yelling it, "Lirael, NO! Get off daddy's Legos"

Smoke was named Megan from the rescue we got her from but doesn't answer to either ;)

I like Storm better than Howard but if you're going for resturant names then Howard would work. Though I'd have issues as my favorite is From Rome to Mexico in Dublin (might have the name backwards).

Congrats on the new bengly!  ;D  I like the name Storm.

I sometimes wonder whether Mosi knows his name but he does, he just chooses not to respond most of the time.  Last night I couldn't find him and thought I may have shut him in the bathroom so went around calling Mosi - he came bouncing out from behind the curtains.  He knows exactly who Mosi is!

Hey Susanne

You have hit the nail on the head!  ;D Mosi sounds pretty cool I think our young man may have 'selective hearing' also!

Thanks about the name too. Storm does sound rather cool but may be a tad fierce and I would love another cuddly boy so I am growing fonder of little Howard Hunter by the minute, not sure why but it sort of feels right  :Luv:

I think Jules is pretty smitten with this name also  :Luv:

Lots of time for us to be sure, when we visit the kittens I am certain we will then get it just right  :care:

normally i prefer human names but given the choice i'd prefer storm over howard.
