About an hour ago Chester started barking because the cats were having a game of footie upstairs. Nothing unusual there but Chester's barking is a real problem so it takes ages to get him to calm down.
When he was calm I went upstairs and look what I found!
The cats have outside access via the Cat Bridge from the bathroom window (because we have to segregate Chester downtairs and the cats upstairs as Tilly attacks Chester and he fights back to defend himself.
)
All I can assume is that some hapless pigeon settled on the Cat Bridge and one of the cats nabbed it. By the by... Tilly is 15 and only has one tooth and Jumpy is 14 and has chronic heart disease. For those concerned although as you can see there were LOADS of feathers, there was no blood nor any sign of the pigeon and we did search everywhere. Pigeon must have escaped through the window again and flown off.
I collected most of the feathers and grouped them together so you could see how many there are. Some of them are out of reach under the bed though. And Tilly still had a feather on her nose.
Aren't cat of this age supposed to be quiet and genteel and sleep most of the time?
