:thanks: s-------o much for the lovely messages i will pass them on to Joey when i get home  :Luv:

Gets to the vets yesterday, he has suffered a broken pelvis some time ago  :'( (vet seems to think afew years ago...before i knew he existed!!)....what hes got now is a bone has dislodged in that area, like a mini pelvis fracture!!  Vet says this is more recent, thinks he may have tryed to jump up to high and fell....poor little fella  :'( :-[

Asked the vet about cage rest, she says he will be ok confined to the house (one room) just let him rest, no jumping!  Hopefully it will heal on its own given time if not......either an operation or a trip to see a specialist  :( :'(

Hes in the bedroom at the moment, ive put the quilt on the floor for him, the heating has been on this morning and abit last night (just in the bedroom) to warm him up abit and hes got his Feliway plug in that room aswell....food, water and litter.

Ive been in this morning with his breakfast...he couldnt make up his mind what he wanted....meowmy cuddles or food he kept going backwards and forwards.....bless him.

He looks abit happier today tho...purring and kneading, just looks brighter.  Probably the rest.

Thanks so much again for the kind replys, they do mean alot to me and the boys  :Luv:

Ahhhh tne poor baby.  I'm not gonna slate the vets not all fractures are easy to spot .... the fact that they missed it is a good sin that it is a stable fracture and probbly not as serious as it could be.  I'm not saying it's not serious but it could be a lot worse (I hope you understand what I'm trying to say ... the more I try to explain the worse it sounds!  :scared:).

I'm sure with a bit of rest and lots of TLC from his mummy he will be fine and leaping about all over the place very soon.

Sending lots of love and get well soon vibes to the little lad  :Luv2:

Poor baby :care: That's shocking that two seperate vets missed it or did not even suggest further investigations

You might be better off getting a crate from the likes of Argos etc - I can imagine the vets prices would be extortionate, unless they could lend/hire you one?

Ive mentioned before my boy Joey has been having back trouble  :'(

Ive seen 3 different vets at the pratice, the first said it was just a bad back and he should have steriods and painkillers.  The second said the same but did suggest a x-ray in case it was masking something else.  The third vet (Joeys favorite) told my mother again its just a bad back, theres nothing else wrong with him!

Remembering what the 2nd vet said i thought id have him in for an x-ray, just called them about 12.30....its a fractured pelvis...im in complete shock!!

My poor little baby boy has been at the vets since 9.30 this morning and im not due to finish work till 4.30...ive asked to go sooner but they cant let me go!  Ive got a taxi booked so i can go straight from here to the vets..oh dear my poor little boy i so want to be with him right now....meowmy is coming soon angel just hold on baby!!!!

I feel so guilty i wish i had had him x rayed sooner...i feel like a bad meowmy  :'(

I hope hes ok...im going to ask the vet if they sell cat cages so i can keep him resting...pls pray for him.
