Well, Mike forgave me for the three newbies and one of them has already been reserved so that was a bonus. He has forgiven me so much that he said yes when the RSPCA asked me to take in a 17 week old male tabby. His owner turned up at their door with him as her autiistic had almost drowned him in the bath!! They had cat flu at the centre and also have 18 coming in over the next week from an RSPCA case so little Nero, as he has been named, has joined us.
He turned up with his owners and when they got him out of the car he was not even in a basket, just on a harness and stinking of cigarette smoke. He is now living in the kitchen with Shelby, and the newbies Wolfie (he looks like a mini Werewolf and his new owners like the name so much they are keeping it,) Chanel and Mungo.
Nearly turned into puppy rescue this afternoon. Had a little of Boxer pups at work - mum died on the operating table whilst have a c-section - and me and one of the Nurses were going to bring two each home to handrear but Vet decided owner should take responsibility for them. (I'm afraid I don't hold out much hope of them surviving - 12 delivered, only four left).
So, despite going through the trauma of losing Thomas today, things never get slower here.
